You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Gutted. Both as a Leeds and Ireland supporter. I wasn’t around for the Revie years, but he’s probably my favorite from the Revie era. What a character. What a man.

RIP Jack.

Remember him in a Fairs Cup game against Valencia? mebbe Zaragoza? chasing a terrified Spaniard around the pitch.
Magical.
World Cup winner. Not many of them around.

There’s a ton of Big Jack stories, but my favorite is how he declined an audience with the Pope in 1990 because he wasn’t Catholic, but the Pope requested an audience with him and told him, “I know you. You’re the best.”

I'm beginning to feel a bit lonely. Jack trotting up for corners always filled me with confidence and his partnership with Norman was tremendous.

Good call to have a separate thread. No one deserves one more than Jack. A big man with an even bigger character. A huge loss. RIP.

Too young to remember him as a player. Old enough to remember the great time in charge of Ireland.
