Footy back next weekend boys!!!! It is the bundesliga but hey its footy. My team will be Frankfurt due to the Yeboah connection.

Home to Mongengladbach who are in CL places so it's a tough one. Come on the Eagles (yes I've used Wikipedia for this)

I'll take Weder Bremen, went to see a few games when I lived there. Vaguely remember paying 10DM for a ticket and getting absolutely bladdered watching them beat B. M'bach 4-3.

I've spent many a time as a teenager in Dortmund square watching the wildlife as it passes the man with a beer barrel. It's Dortmund for me.

This is a better reason than 90% of the Liverpool and Manu fans have.

Somebody reserve St Pauli for Tommy and his penny farthing.

I'll take Ingolstadt. Edit: shit, am I out of date. Paderborn.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Red Bull cahnt

Surely we have to take a team each?

I’ll go with Leverkusen for turn of the millennium nostalgia purposes. Does Lucio and Ballack still play for them?

I'm going for Bayern Munich, we're only four points clear so still all to play for :thumbl:

Met a young, ex Bayern fan a few years ago.He explained to me that he supported them til they won Champions League.I think they'd had a few near misses in the previous years.Once this had been achieved he was happy enough to support another German team.Cannot remember who the lucky team was.

Fuck me, I've remembered it was 2007.

I'll have Cologne or Koln went to see em once Podolski scored.

I've struggled with picking a Bundesliga club. Not so for some other nations, though my interest is pretty low in all of them compared to the English game.

I have German blood, but the portion of Germany my ancestors (that I know of) came from (Westphalia) doesn't have a Bundesliga club.

Dortmund and Schalke are nearest. Never minded Dortmund. Schalke can kiss my ass because they were a Nazi propaganda tool.

I like Union Berlin's politics. I've always sort of liked Werder Bremen due to the colors (I dig green). Augsburg has my favorite colors (red/green), but they mute them both in favor of white. Koln has always intrigued me.

I might normally go with Frankfurt because of the Yeboah connection (would much rather go with Hamburg for the same reason, but they're down), but Frankfurt seems to me to be the Villa of German football. Just utter wordwork.

Clubs I don't like? Bayern, obviously, being the power club. Any club with a corporate overlord like Moenchengladbach, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg or fucking Leipzig. The small-town clubs don't interest me as much as they do in England for some reason.

I'll watch and likely pick out the most exciting club.

One could also go by mascots. There's only one ... whatever the fuck this is, Schalke.
