Why should Eddie be ineligible? He'd be playing for his home club and hasn't played a match in the FA Cup this season.

He can play if they want him to. But if he does, he can't go on loan again this season (unless its back here).

I would like him to play against us. Rather that than their other options.

i would guess that they'll keep him at arsenal until reasonably close to the end of the transfer window, enabling arteta to have a decent look at him, but even so they'll IMO for certain want him to go out again, making it very unlikely that he'll play against us.

i honestly think our chances are better than that. they're only, really, a midtable side.

I agree, I don't see them as 4/9 shots or us as 5/1.

We're well capable of hurting them on the break.

Sat in the home section for this, very close to the Leeds end.

I think it'll be something like 4-1 to the Arse. We'll score either zero or one and they'll score four or five.

Personally , though you like your side to win every match possible , I think there are far more important things this season , or one in particular - AUTOMATIC promotion and that should be treated as priority . Cup is just a distraction that could result in tiredness or injuries , or both . For that reason I think its perfectly acceptable to go out but put in a good show ( ie a 2-1 loss ) . Concentrate on a good cup runs if and when in Premier League and use these things as stepping stones to bigger things . If out of the cup there is reasonable chance of rest weekends for a few games which could benefit greatly . Let Fulham , Brentford , Sheff Weds have cup runs and get injuries or tiredness etc . Quite happy to see those clubs progress a few rounds ........... however its a shame that the oldest club competition in the world has been reduced to this .

Possibly use the cup as an opportunity to give O'Kane a runout?

are they that good, honestly? limited aerial threat, from the relatively little i know of them. their forward players are no doubt a lot quicker than our defenders, but if we play in a measured way & can [ha] avoid leaving big gaps behind them then things shouldn't be too bad?
