Me and Mrs O drifted in there (I think) on a weekend lunchtime once, a couple of years ago, to kill a spare half an hour. Quiet, we didn't cause a stir. Whether they take a dim view of money nonces on their manor on a weekday I couldn't say.

NB. Lunchtime drinking is an immediate sackable offences in most parts of the major project construction industry these days. I find it somewhat perplexing that the only sector where it continues to be regarded as perfectly normal is the City. It's only the economy and our pensions etc that it's OK to completely fuck up when you're shitfaced.

It’s an odd one in December given I did the authentic thing and chilled it slightly, but quite nice.

We’re only drinking it now because Mrs O needed a glug of red for cooking and grabbed it without asking :shake1:

I know some folk find him irritating, but ignoring that... Jamie Oliver's Christmas recipe tweaks are decent this year. I handle the cooking on the day and will probably be doing the sprouts, stuffing, cauliflower cheese and carrots his way, and may even chuck the tiramisu together since it's piss-easy.
If any of you don't put the flavoured butter under the turkey skin, I'd recommend it: a massive lift in flavour of the meat. Can do a lot of that the day before, thus leaving time to fuck off to the park [with dog] and pub [with family] before guests arrive.

Showing your workings, if breakfast was still live at 11am, and dinner finishes at 6pm, what time can I start tea?

For an extra mark, calculate what should come next in the sequence:

Coffee, Bloody Mary, IPA, Prosecco, Pineau de Charentes, Gavi di Gavi, Pinot Noir, Rutherglen Muscat.

I think that depends on tea - if mince pies or christmas cake (and cheese), then as soon as you feel you can squeeze in just another tiny bite, and i would go with the pinot (but that is the only wine i drink these days, because i rarely do drink - and i don't have coffee in the house, either).
