... And happy old woman. These are out, for some reason she likes the summer SI special, well okay, fine by me and about 93% of the world's population...

You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

All the major Spanish brewers now doing decent range of beers.
Used to be they all only did generic Eurolager, that was ok if cold.
Most now doing a decent IPA and a Golden Lager some doing a stout a couple of session bitters.
All pretty decent at very good prices. San Miguel Magna at 1, 50 the litre is a giveaway.
I no longer have to go to El Corte Ingles and pay through the nose for imported stuff.
Say goodbye to tasteless lager misery.
Hooray!
Mirrors and copulation are abominable, since they both multiply the numbers of men.

It's interesting. Our team admin on one of my projects is Italian and she was in the office last week with a fucking massive suitcase which weighed a ton. Turned out she was going home for the weekend with it packed with craft beer. Last time I was in Italy there were odd interesting bits and pieces but really quite hard to avoid Peroni / Moretti etc. Good to see interest in beer spreading, just hope all the new ones don't go the corporate sell-out route of Brewdog / Beavertown etc

Been a shit and hectic couple of weeks with crazy deadlines, project tomfoolery, and idiot clients! Well, I just put the out of office on for two weeks as tomorrow I'm off to Zurich and then cycling all the way home. Can't wait!

Planted a hop vine last year.
Just producing the cones now.
Entire garden smells of IPA.
Señora Musta not impressed.

Yep, I dug up mine on Saturday and joined other members of the community growing project to pick them off the vines at a local brewery yesterday. Free beer and BBQ in absolutely glorious sunshine - marvellous.

Between us we produced a pretty phenomenal 71 kilos of hops which went into this year’s brew :)

(I think some shonky weighing might have taken place as that’s a ridiculous amount given the featherlight weight of each cone)
