With my long experience of dealing with this kind of potential conflict I have found that the best way of heading things off is to make her feel 6that she has made the decision that you want.
You have to be quite subtle, plant a very small seed of doubt and carefully water it over time.
Ibiza? Sounds great. I'm sure the Spanish have got things sorted. I know they had it really bad, but that was months ago. They won't allow any kind of problem to arise. And anyway, the insurance would cover any problems.
Those sunsets in Ibiza are bloody awesome, guaranteed good food and weather.
Love it.

shouldn't be too difficult.
will need to have swimming pool access for the kids [though all uk swimming pools are afaik closed for the foreseeable future].
needs to be self catering so i'll have to at least offer to do all the cooking, cleaning, etc.
will have to be cheaper [because budget etc] than the current booking and probably also more expensive [because stingy bastard, don't want to slum it etc] than the last place.
i've got this.

Actually, if we were taking kids this is what we'd do, but substituting a gîte rural for the tenty bit.

TFP, have you had a look at some of the properties over here on the Causeway Coast. Some great houses and cottages. Drive up to Stranraer and get the ferry. The beaches are superb in and around Portrush / Portstewart!
