We're going up!

All sounds a bit close - do you fancy having another go where it turns out better?

 I wish I could, but this is Leeds. It'll be like the 89/90 season. Very close.

Hmmm......I suppose to me playing well, is winning. If you aren’t winning then you aren’t playing well, as that’s the point of the game.

We never looked like scoring against Cardiff.

On goals concession.

Cardiff scores 2 from 2 shots on target.

Luton scored 1 from 2 last night.

Keeper has been poor since restart.

This Leicester situation is really starting to worry me. Fuck the gung ho wack a mole approach suggested by that fat oaf in number 10. We need to cancel the season NOW and work the final placings on PPG. Fair play we gave it a go but those poor people in Leicester need our solidarity.
The only thing we knew for sure about Henry Porter was that his name wasn't Henry Porter.

Its probably all irrelevant anyway if west brom continue capitulate

I'm looking at form since the restart, you are going back to what, Feb? Jan? with a 3 month break in between.

Who's to say which is the best indicator? I just know my way matches my mood.

Edit to add if WBA win their next game their form since the restart is the same as ours.
You're welcome :thumbl:

I think it's best we agree to disagree, call each other cunts and move on with our lives and allow the usual posters to squabble between themselves

Fair enough, probably best as we are actually both correct

I've seen the ball bounce off him and go into the goal so many times for the U18s/U23s there must be something to him.

haha, well, y'know, of the 67,886,011 [ONS midyear estimate] or so people living in the UK, only, what, say about a thousand or so of them [call it 0.001%] of them are at this time good enough at football to play at the BUSINESS END* of the championship. even the guys who we routinely dismiss as no-hopers at our level have, by the standards of us mortals, an astoundingly refined skillset.

so on this basis i find it highly probable that edmundson isn't nearly good enough, if only because almost nobody is.

Might be true.

But the obvious counter to this is that we paid £7m for Bamford.

Would we be materially worse with 10 players?

Bielsa post match:

Thinks Leeds were in a position to win. Bamford/Costa seemed to be pointing at the floodlights after their missed chances. Bielsa isn't sure what was wrong but said both misses were odd. #lufc

Cooper took a kick to his back and Bielsa doesn't think it's serious. Dallas has a muscle problem and is likely to miss Blackburn on Saturday. #

Taking the positive from lots of chances (15) against 2 conceded. However, again he points to the lack of efficiency. Deserved to win but didn't. #lufc

Augustin's loan is up today. My understanding is that it won't be extended. Bielsa didn't want to comment on him and said any announcement on whether Augustin will stay longer term will be made another time. #

Apparently Jones has said something in Spanish to Hernandez and he hasn't taken too kindly to it. Orta understood it and didn't like it either. #lufc

Sounds like Luton boss Nathan Jones has apologised for a verbal bust up with Pablo Hernandez in Spanish.

This is more than pissing me off. It has been the same since last season, I like KP but he is a useless cunt at corners and free kicks, to such an extent teams don't mind giving them to us as we offer pretty much zero threat.

Yeah, fucked if I understand what's going on. If it's genuinely a tactic to launch the fucker to the far corner of the box, then why don't we ever have anyone out there to pick it up? So it's either that KP's rangefinder is miles off or that there's no strategy for what's supposed to happen at all.

kp doesn't, it's true, have quite the ball striking chops to be a genuine set piece specialist in the way that, say, hartey was back in the day or TAA at liverpool is now... but in fairness to the guy he's got nothing at all to aim at. who was our tallest outfield player last night? bamford? klich? i'm not sure that any of our team are exactly, y'know, er pontus jansson? first rate in the air...

Edmondson is a big unit that would attract attention in set pieces, he should at least be on the bench.
Whether he is good enough is not the issue, ist El Loco dogmatically sticking with Bamford
Fast Eddie was deemed good enough for us but left to start at the Arse.
Cooper is are only ariel threat during corners and most teams now it.
Pablo has to start, as someone mentioned get the first goal & the stats are are good, we generally win, teams have to open up. Go behind we struggle to win games.
The quicker we 2 or 3 wins everyone can settle down, not been able to put away a teams like Luton & Cardiff will weigh heavy on the players confidence.
Pablo is our best player its worth the risk to start him fully the next 3 or 4 games, we are not going to change our style of attacking play but with his creativity the goals will come. The longer he is the pitch we also have the free kick threat, and you always pick up free kicks outside the box.

Something to that, given we get 5 subs, start Pablo and get ahead, then pull him and play with more solidity

Has anyone heard anything about the floodlight glare?

Understandable if it was the cause of the missed chances if it were true.

Just a shame we're not allowed to take him off at half time then put him back on again for the last 20 if we fuck it up.

Only from certain angles with certain players.
The closer to goal the more distracting. If you are in the six yard box it's blinding. But only for Leeds players. Doesn't affect anyone else.
