Have you seen the league table recently?

Ah yes but this is Leeds United Theorem. A perceived good position in the league or in a match is false hope and disaster is never far away. Admittedly this season is really putting that theory to the test but it could make the disaster more dramatic then ever before.

Nailed it.

Has it ever occurred that all fans feel like this, of that if we have a mid season dip in results/form it might not be that the team is trying to spite us but some other more valid reasons may be at play. EG thecessity to select Forshaw

Think that will get top2.

26 pts , total 87 pts ..........probably realistic as all teams below will be dropping points to each other ....first or second with 87 ....don't care which , would be quite happy .

Yeah, 87 would do it you'd think. That's the average for 2nd but this season seems a little below par unless someone sticks a good run together about now. If like to see us on 70 points in 4 games time, from there it'd look quite doable.

Bolton needs to be a game to confirm the confident approach, then the next two are the massive ones you'd think. I'm only thinking about it again after them.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Six points every three games from now would probably see us right, five probably wouldn't. Fine margins and all that.

It surely comes down the the home games against West Brom and Sheff U.
Leeds United is ruining my life.

Well, yes and no. There are two entirely separate factors, I suppose.

1. The extent to which we can take points off rivals
2. The extent to which we can hoover up points from the also rans.

Draws would be just dandy against the rivals, given that they're value neutral overall, provided we can do enough of the hoovering bit.

Yep can't see two teams getting more than 87.

They are key games as we can stop them gaining ground or catch up but don't think it just comes down to those.

We could win both and miss out and lose both and get top2.

Today’s horrible. Just sitting here waiting to see the other bastards racking up points.

And so it comes to pass.

That said salvation was never likely to come from the likes of Reading and Bolton.

I am not worried*. The second half schedule has been front-loaded with more of the quality teams in the division. Not that anything is a guarantee, but the quality of opposition theoretically eases up considerably** after Sheffield United is played on March 16.

* It’s Leeds. Of course I’m worried.
** It also theoretically eases up for Norwich, the Blunts and WBA. Never mind. I’m worried.

Yeah very unlikely Norwich we’re going to lose 2 in a row.

No favours for us today.

In fairness we have had the results go in our favour a few times recently but it is at least a 4 horse race at the moment.

Goal difference is what worries me now. A) because it's close and B) because it's often an indicator the points are deserved. All 3 of our rivals have the jump on us there and not just by a couple of goals.

Today could only be worse if we'd played and lost.

Meh, blunts and budgies brushed aside weak opposition just as we'd expect them to. No huge deal really.
