I hate that duck - all aboard for the Daniel James derby

Big game, this. Anything other than three points & the proverbial fat lady will imo be starting to at least clear her throat.

Anyone got any sensible reasons to be optimistic?

I’m taking a day off work for this one. No train back to London after the game so I’m taking the overnight bus. Let’s hope it’s worth it!

Does almost being at full strenth count?

If we turn up first half we'll be ok.

My dad has a theory that if you win the away game first, the chances of winning the return fixture at home are surprisingly low (only about 50-50).

We didn’t win at Swansea so it’s gonna be fine.

Oh God, it’s hard work, all of this.

It’s normally this point in the season where we get to relax because we know there’s no chance.

We could always swap Bielsa back for the Heckler. That would ensure we have no chance, and hey presto: panic over

We realistically need 7 points from the next 9 to cling on to hope imho. Should be getting 9 as a promotion chasing side.
I think we’re fucked.

My dad had a similar theory: if you win away one week you'll find it hard to win at home the next. It's always worried me. Oh, and teams who lose at home one week somehow make up for it with an away win next.

Not that it applies to us in this match... so, my reason to be optimistic is that we are better than them and Bamford will score. That's all I have.

Bolton won last night. Rich vein of form etc.

EDIT: fuck me, I'm clearly on a right Debbie Downer today.

We will beat them tonight, and beat them easy. And Norwich will drop points tonight as well.

That McBurnie lad will score again for sure if he plays. Have to hope he doesn’t make it. Of course James will have the game of his life too. Given that this match could be a pivotal one in determining whether or not we’re promoted, I hope we don’t sign the cunt in the summer if he scores.

Positives are: Bielsa.
Oh and no major new injuries and players starting to get sharper - Bamford, Brown. Also McBurnie may not be fit, which would be huge boost.

7 from 9 points is needed if we are to hold on to top 2 imo. We've won 7 on the bounce, we can do it.
