second game where rodrigo de paul is emulating our own rodrigo.

bullet dodged on his world cup performances so far.
he looks a proper cunt imo, giving it that 'miming getting a yellow card out of his pocket' to try to get the ref to book someone.

Really shite tactics from Mexico second half. Defence with no attacking outlet - so Argentina have licence to keep going forward, knowing Mexico will not score. It's a fucking free hit.
And, sure enough, Messi gets one and it's all over.
Crap plan from the coach.

All 4 teams in that group need a win to guarantee progress. Mexico need a few goals too. Should prove interesting.

I would much prefer Messi to gain some glory from a final tournament than fucking Ronaldo, but this does not appear to be any sort of a worthwhile Argie team. And he doesn’t appear to be that fussed.

This Costa Rica v Japan game is the worst of the tournament so far.
Low standard, poor tactical awareness... Japan don't know what to do up top and Costa Rica are way too defensive.
With Hartson on co-comms, it could hardly be worse.

So, now we see that you are allowed to pull a shirt in the pen area on free kicks and no pen will be given.

Must be a new rule.

Keeper was not impressive there.

Germany will be happy.

Just checked how tall Gonda is - 6ft one-and-a-half. Not tiny, by any means.
Should have saved it.

All of a sudden Germany can afford a narrow defeat tonight and still probably be favourites to get the second spot

I can't see Argentina or Germany making much of an impression. Any team that has Otamendi at the back or relies on Havertz as their main striker is not likely to win the WC.

That Jap keeper just mistimed his jump. You can see on the replay he is heading back to Earth as he parries it.

And the pull looked outside the box to me, DL

Which one you talking about? I don't mean the one on the Japan player when he was clean through [which was outside].
I mean the one on the Costa Rica player from a free kick swung into the box.

Same thing for Morocco now. This WC is shite for all the reasons we know. But also: this World Cup - wow.

Good second half in the Morocco match. More like it.
