Now that's not right: the cunt stops his run-up twice and then, when the keeper reacts and it doesn't go in, he gets another go.
Fuck off.

Stuttering run-ups ought to be outlawed when the keeper has to stay on his line.

Mbappe's goals were very good but certainly a day for my turn off immediately at the final whistle policy.

Bit surprised Saka is back in, but it's no big deal.
Always thought Hendo would return: Senegal are bigger and more powerful than a lot of teams.
A top-of-form Kalvin might have got in this side [under Southgate].

I much prefer rashford in this scenario - Kane wants to play 10, wants more or less one or more strikers ahead of him - foden isn't nearly that, he's a playmaker who'd really like to be playing 10, saka is quick but I don't think he's nearly as good a finisher as rashford, he's more of a natural wide midfielder or even wing back.

anyway, this should be easy. I hope it follows the pattern of the first three, ie the stronger team gets in front and then can sit back a bit, the underdogs barely able to lay a glove on them.

I *much* prefer KP to Hendo if they're both in equally good condition, but can probably accept that the former's fitness is enough to put him behind at least for now.

Senegal may be champions of Africa but without Sané they are mainly a team of players out on loan from biggger clubs; players in the EFL or a couple of liabilities playing (sometimes) for Chelsea. England can only lose by beating themselves.

Not that it’ll be a huge shock against the reigning African champions and a side who in the past beat the then reigning world champions, that there have been no real upsets in the Ro16 so far only convinces me more that we’re about to lose.

Must be because I’m a Leeds fan?

Still have no enthusiasm to watch England, I've seen about 50 - 60 mins in total after the first 3 games. I'll probably make the effort to watch the French game if we get through.

I agree, though in fairness Mendy at his best is much better than Pickford. I'm fairly sure that England, maybe even England's second xi, are stronger than Senegal in every other position.

Rice and Henderson...
Hmmm...
Seven men behind the ball at all times. Should be a lorra laffs.
We might scrape a result, 50-50 this, but France will rinse us.

So far I have watched the opening game and the England USA game. Totally agree Andy I too have zero enthusiasm for watching England. This World Cup has made me realise how little I care about the national team and international football in general. It bores me to be honest. I also cannot be doing with all of the overt patriotism that manifests itself every time England take the pitch. I find it embarrassing to be honest. There is not a lot to love about this country at the moment including the England team. Of course you do know that in the unlikely event that England were to win the World Cup then the government will do their best to milk it for all it’s worth for petty political gain.

Drums are doing my head in, can only imagine how it is for England's players on the pitch.

Hard working Senegal, will give them that.

Don’t understand this. A lot of people have shit things going on in their lives, success of national team gives them something to look forward to. Over here it’s soccer but everyone’s been behind the team even though everyone knows we could never go near winning it

Although with Southgate as manager can understand the cynicism… is two DMs really needed against this team?

El Hadj Diouf on their bench. Fuck me he’s put on a few pounds since he was with us.

Painful watch so far. Both teams pretty poor.
We don't need two holding mids against Cameroon. We don't have a decent outball.
