In N. Yorks playing golf yesterday so missed our best result of the season, a 5-1 win away at Paderborn.
Got Bayern next though.

Handy win for St. Pauli today but, to be honest, who gives a toss? Proper football’s back soon.

Watched second half of Schalke v Leverkusen.
Jesus, David Wagner's lot are crap. How Leverkusen didn't win that fucker truly escapes me.
But as above, who cares?

Yep, hard to maintain any real enthusiasm for Bundesliga. In any EPL or EFL game, it's always possible to pick the side you want to win, apart from Chelsea v Man U when the best result is both sides being struck by lightening.

i half arsedly stumbled on freiberg as my nominal team because i went to the black forest last summer. it turned out to be a decent choice. there were some stats showing that in terms of wage bill to position they were punching higher than any other team and now there's this; their manager, christian streich, is the 'philosopher' and 'social conscience' of german football.

“I thought soccer wouldn’t survive this,” he said. “For many years, soccer has been on a knife edge. It is a product, and you can squeeze it like a lemon. You can keep squeezing and juice keeps coming. And there is still juice left now, but the question is how long the people who love it want to watch this lemon get squashed and deformed.”

i'm not a man with any tattoos; their popularity and fatuousness have put me off, i'm also aware of the fickle nature of my own personal taste, but if i had to have a tattoo it'd be of marcelo sat on a bucket with 'bielsa' written underneath.
