Euro 2020 - Continental Cup

Postby jackos » Thu May 23, 2019 11:51 am

I know we haven't qualified yet, so this is bloody early, but earlier this week I received an invitation to apply for EURO 2020 ticket from Uefa. Of 1.25 million tickets UEFA have alloted 15% (40K) "fans first" tickets for the semi/finals.

• 13,000 category 3 'Fans First' tickets for both semi-finals and the final – a total of around 40,000 tickets – will be available at under €100. These represent 15% of stadium capacity. Fans can apply for 'Fans First' tickets between 12 June and 12 July 2019.

The first phase of Euro 2020 tickets will run from 12 June to 12 July, with 1.5m on sale to the general public.

This is 500,000 more than at Euro 2016 in France.

A second phase will follow in December this year, after the finals draw has taken place, with a third phase in April 2020 when the final four places have been decided by the play-offs.

A number of tickets will be made available for disabled fans at every game, in the lowest price category, regardless of their location in the stadium.

Disabled fans can also request a complimentary seat for an accompanying person.

A total of 40,000 tickets under €100 (£87) will be available for the semi-finals and final at Wembley.

The tournament from 12 June to 12 July 2020, will see the 24 finalists playing in 12 different cities across Europe, including Dublin, Glasgow and London.

So most "fans" will end up paying 300-1000€ if they want to see the final

Think I'll apply for tickets in ST Pete's since it just across the water (60 min) from Stockholm

As a proportion of tournament revenue you'd think that ticket sales, as opposed to merch / TV revenue / sponsorship, is probably fairly insignificant. There's got to be a better way of doing this.

its a massive, unjustifiable rip-off

I shall hopefully going to South Africa to run Comrades instead, won't cost much more and I'll have a week's holiday

Jansson solid in defence before Seb Larsson's fuck up gifted Spain a penalty, completely done by Morata prior to Spains second penalty. Finishes 3-0. Easy Spanish win in the end.

Aye, Pontus had a fine game, plenty to do, and dealt with everything except Morata's Cruyff(ish) turn for the second.
No shame getting done like that by such a good player.
He dealt with Ramos at set pieces very well.
Spanish tv pundits were impressed by him.
Bit of a shop-window performance.
Mirrors and copulation are abominable, since they both multiply the numbers of men.
