He'll not stay if we have to sell our crown jewels just to tread water.

Eric, take the rest of the season off, will you? There's a love.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Well this was my final attempt anyway, but I may take the next decade off now.

Guess how I feel now is how Blades fans felt last week, just face to pray the roles are reversed on Monday.

Few rumours about Clarke and Phillips on the radar of Bournemouth.

If that's the case it will be hard to keep hold of them even though they've come through the youth side, our record of Premiership clubs nicking our players is very high, even though some still think that they'll stay for lower wages and a chunk of the transfer fee.

If we don't go up we'll struggle to keep Jansson, Phillips, Clarke and maybe Roofe. I guess the solution will be to sell Jansson, and try keep the rest of the squad together. My biggest concern is our reliance on Hernandez, we've relied massively on him the season, especially after Christmas, but he'll be 35 next spring so I don't see how we can expect him to deliver another season like this one.

But we don't need to worry about that. We're going up.

Clarke would be shame because we know he will be good. I could live with it, mind.
Losing Phillips would be a real hammer blow.

Agreed, Clarke has potential but so did Byram, Taylor, Mowatt and Cook. Non of them are setting the world alight. Taylor has had some decent performances of late but nowt special.
Because a thing seems difficult for you, do not think it impossible for anyone to accomplish.

You have to wonder how Kalvin Phillips is feeling. He’s been good to great for the bulk of the season and he had to watch it all come to nowt from the bench. Admittedly it was 1-1 when he came off but I can’t help but think we might have at least salvaged a potentially vital point.

Even if it’s your boyhood club, it might be hard not to feel a bit betrayed. Could be the sort of moment that would have you thinking if and when offers come in during the summer.

Nah. I doubt Kalvin has anything like your sophisticated, nuanced and intelligent view of the world. And I do mean that [as well as taking the piss, albeit gently.]

Rumblings on Twitter that Kalvin has been dropped. Could be one of them there nasty stories that crop up in times of crisis but could have legs.

See also: scoring first, top at Christmas, etc and so fucking tediously on...
