I was joking on Twitter about Bielsa weakening our U23s by lumbering Corberan with Harrison and Baker in lieu of Clarke and Shackleton but they were both quite good (registering an assist and a goal respectively). However, when Clarke came on it completely changed the complexion of the game. I think he had a hand in every goal from that point onward, including a lovely finish from the edge of the box. Admittedly he's only really got one move (at this moment in time) but it's hard to argue with how effective it is. It's all too easy to get too excited by the potential of an Academy graduate but I think if an impartial observer saw that match they'd have to concede that he was the most influential player.

No wonder Pep likes the cut of his jib then.

yeah but he does it just as well in either direction, cutting in from the left or the right. in this case "he's only really got one move" is kind of like saying "he's only really got one helicopter" when discussing personal wealth.

True enough, I think it's reached the point where I'm trying to find something critical to say to offset the amount of praise I give him. He's obviously got a lot to learn but I think he's at the right place to do it. Our facilities are decent and as well as Bielsa, Corberan and the other coaching staff it can't hurt spending time around a player as good as Pablo Hernandez.

Looked just a tweak and precautionary. He's liable to have problems, given his original injury.
I'm thinking Pablo central and Clarke out wide for a while.

fackin lutv. it always tells me it can't find my location and then that they will notify me when a stream is available when one of these second halves is going on.

i think i confused it with having my 'holiday' login added in with my original 'home' login on my phone. i've cleared cookies associated with the app and tried reinstalling it but i never get back to the login screen. :x

Currently playing Crewe, with Izzy B and Phillips involved. 1-0 up, Brown the scorer.

2-0 after 75 mins - Brown scores again.

Final score 2-0. Only saw second half, but we looked totally dominant [as usual]. Phillips cruising around at the back, a clear class above. Brown came through unscathed, if still looking rusty. Stevens impressive too.
Good lads.
