Shaughnessy,
.

Bielsa did say that Shaughnessy would be involved in the u23 game and the cup match in his interview, will be an interesting break with tradition if that does happen.

Hope Bielsa and his team can make a player of De Bock, would be a useful addition to his squad if he can find his feet.

De Bock looked decent last night from the bits I saw, getting forward and overlapping well, some good defensive work too, but it was U23s so cant really judge on that.

He's not a wing back by any means, that was why he left his last club and came to us, poor bugger

On Ideguchi, I assume they secured a work permit for him if he's turning out for the U23s. Dont think he has a squad number though does he?

De Bock did well last night, but of course it was U23, but no sulking put in a full shift.
Jap (whos name I cannot type or remember) similarly put in a full unselfish shift and showed great awareness, skill, to deliver a peach of chip into the box to set up the 2nd goal for Dalby

Indicator of the high level match stats from Trots last game ( 2-2 home draw with Brizzle City):
30% possession (at home)
Made less than half as many passes as Brizzle
58% team pass accuracy
2 shots on target (clinical!)
Committed 20 fouls to Brizzle's 6
they were in front 2-0 after 60 mins

four points in last 2 league games v handy rated opposition
1st game they dicked WBSaggies 2-1 AWAY
Simirlar stats
28% possession 4 shots on target 15 fouls
"We always felt that we could give Saggies problems, and we lied when we stressed to the lads before the game that we were not coming to sit back and soak up pressure. When we attacked we looked dangerous. which they were deadly"7
Not sure if they resting many but very dangerous in from team.

Unbelievable support for a mid week game on the telly! early round of the tin pot cup
Should be a great motivator to the players, especially those who have quality and will be in shock to have found themselves on de bench.

Dropping players like Alioski & Roofe that scored on the weekend shows the coach does not care about this game :thumbd:

It would not happen under Steve Evans. He'd be trying to crush them.
