It is but my fuel economy is excellent and I pay £20 a year tax.

Company car tax on diesels now is getting ridiculous but fuel economy means the company won't look at other options. Can't go electric because of the pain in the arse charging them and the shitty range they have. A lot of the hybrids are a bag of shit for the silly money they cost.

Ontolly was going to buy a hybrid you daft cunt.
Mirrors and copulation are abominable, since they both multiply the numbers of men.

A very niche solution obviously, but I like the recycled vibe.

I'll ask our FD if he'll put it on our car list

Theresa May is set to announce a £106m funding boost

I'd hazard a guess that that amount will buy about 10 hours of research and a few extra power sockets.

Just checked: Tesla spend $7,430 per minute.

This is terrifying, just from the the point of understanding the scale of man-made environmental toxicity.

All that shit is out there, all around us, and we don't even begin to comprehend the scale of what happens when there's a massive uncontrolled release of particles.

The article also stated that...

"The £106m fund will be dedicated to advances in low-emission vehicles and hydrogen technology, with a further £500m to be invested by key industries in the sector - creating more than 1,000 jobs across the country."

The Tesla stat is pretty irrelevant, he is the head of a private tech company and is already generating money to reinvest. Would you be happy for $7,430 per minute be sanctioned by the government? Doubt it, and there isn't a government on the planet that would come close.

This has been known about for years, there was a pretty fascinating documentary about it a few years ago. Every bit of fire protection used on the steels in the towers was asbestos - amosite, the worst kind, cases of mesothelioma and are growing as exposure can take 40 years to manifest.

I read the extra £500m as government speak for "money we were going to spend anyway which we can somehow pretend is for this thing"

There is some evidence of this but further research is needed.

There is a massive emphasis on 'Health' from the HSE at the moment because of industrial diseases and exposure to other stuff is killing folk at an alarming rate. My thoughts are that the 'Safety' part of H&S has taken too much prominence over the last few decades and it has been noted by the powers that be.

You didn't read it correctly then as it says after the £500m - by key industries - private sector funding.
