We’ve got lucky with Covid (in a relative sense) because Patrick is one of those players who wilts under the pressure of an Elland Road crowd

The kind of player Eddie Gray has talked about often that feels the weight of expectation out on the pitch whilst being the best player on the training ground

It’ll do for me this stRt

So we should probably sell him to Scum for 75M next summer :thumbl:

Arsenal fan (his family are Leeds) over last night was amazed not only by our style of play but specifically Patrick. Suggesting that and England call up should be on the cards.

I had to explain the whole thing about Bamford being great in patches but he might now not score for 8 games and would look fucking dogshit while doing it.

His finishing is so instinct based that I'd worry if he was called up to the England squad at the moment and the frankly ponderous pace they play at, he'd overthink everything and that would destroy his confidence completely.

Bamford for England?
Nay, nay and thrice nay.
1. He is totally unsuited to England's horrible style.
He's learned the job of leading the line in a Bielsaball team. He'd be totally lost playing donkey football.
2. He would probably get knee knack and be out for six months.
3 There are plenty of players around who suit donkey ball perfectly.

These posts immediately had me fretting about what we'll do the day Marcelo leaves. The fitness of our squad is a different level. Bielsa has them drilled to a level I doubt any top flight level could achieve, at times it is magical to watch. It was even obvious in the England games when Phillips continued to run for the full 90, and left his team mates behind as he charged back to help defend a counter attack. The only conclusion I can make is that we need him to stay until we're well established in the EPL, and have the funds to replace the players he has built, without having to rely on his coaching ability.

Yeah sell him to Lampard and replace him with Sam Greenwood for our champions league tilt. That would be funny

I think a lot of them will take what they have learned around fitness and routines with them wherever they go. Mendy has mentioned it before I think, as did Pontus when he moved.

the guidance...
Self-isolate for at least 10 days if:

you have symptoms of coronavirus and you tested positive or did not have a test
you tested positive but have not had symptoms
If you have symptoms, the 10 days starts from when they started.

If you have not had symptoms, the 10 days starts from when you had the test. But if you get symptoms after your test, self-isolate for a further 10 days from when your symptoms start.

so fingers crossed he had some symptoms 9 days ago

Sure I read that Premier League protocols meant he was definitely out for Sat?

Yes he is. It was an optimistic/stupid search for a loophole.

Is the rupture of an ACL a fitness related injury?

the best things come in small, baby-faced packages, as any fule know.

we've been linked with a move for this wee bairn, aged 21, from barcelona.

Wonder why Barca would want rid?

I had a dream last night where we signed a CB from Miwwaw, name of Keeley.

I do not believe this to be a solution to our problems

Not the worst, but not what we would need unless Llorente is back safe and sound... then again probably journo-bollocks having seen us play lately.

Leeds United are keeping tabs on Chelsea's England defender Fikayo Tomori, 22, with a view to a move for him in the January transfer window. (Football Insider)

But wiki says he is Canadian - can that be a good thing? And
On 6 August 2018, Tomori joined Championship side Derby County on a season long loan.[16] He made his debut on 11 August in a 1–4 loss against Leeds United.[17][18] His time at the club saw him named the club's "Player of the Year".[19]
