he'd be like adam forshaw mk 2.0.

Agree it's a lovely idea but the only game he's not been subbed on this season was when they played us, seems Klopp still has a use for him.

And we couldn't get him until Jan anyway.

I have him down as Stuart Dallas. Only not as good obviously (except from the penalty spot).

Berardi handed new contract until end of season.

A nice gesture from the club.

I’m good with this. Jackos’ll be spitting tacks but I’ll just have to cope with that.

Loyal guy. Those guys who refused to play when Celkino was there but Berardi told em to get fucked. Gives 100% which unfortunately leads to the occasional red card.

It feels really good, warming, for the club to have behaviour that matches espoused values, and for these values to be so honourable. This is really good and I hope he gets a coaching role after his playing days are out.

Now we'd best do something disgraceful quickly to take the edge off.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Very happy about this. More class from the club. Berardi is a good guy and it’s absolutely the right thing for us to do as a club.

I still think that he has the best shooting ability of any player at the club - especially as it's so unexpected. We need Beradi to counter-balance the current media love-in for Leeds, which makes me uncomfortable.

Not bothered, he won't be on much compared to the rest of the squad now we're in the EPL. Surprised he hasn't fucked off to Italy with his millions, but I suppose the medical staff will look after him at ER and he has a bigger chance of getting a contract next season if he gets fit with us.

Swiss, isn't he? Or does he live in Italy? Genuine question.

His ms is Italian and he moved to Lombardy when he was a teen. Pretty certain it was assumed he'd finish his career there after he left Leeds. I'm still surprised he decided to do his rehab in Wetherby, I know I wouldnt have stayed in England right now if I had his money, but I guess it's easier if a club looks after you after a long career. Id have packed my bag and found a beach in Italy or a Swiss lake to live next to while I took my coaching badges.

OK. Maybe it's a coaching opportunity thing?

He’s spent his life in football, guess it’s just a lot easier to stay wheee he’s known and liked, understandable really.

The discussion about Berardi started because someone, Yeboah I think, suggested we should give him 20k a week for two years. I responded don’t be fucking daft, why would we more than double his salary when he’s 32 and had hardly played all season. It snowballed from there. He’s been given a year, and I doubt he’s earning any more than he was last season, probably less.

Yeah, it was Mr. Reality who really didn't like him.

must admit, logically i know this isn't a sensible bet based on the last couple of seasons but i'm a fan of bamford and i do think there is a chance that he's not adequately replaced, gets plenty of games and finds his scoring boots.

so i got no takers first time, anyone fancy it now?

Nay, nay and thrice nay, sir.
He missed a couple of nailed-on chances first half and I was snorting into my Ribera del Duero at half time... hoik the fucker ...
Something was clearly slipped into his tea at half time ...
Different, other thing.
Sniffer stylee from the boy.
One tap-in, one great strike, one befuddle the centre half and keeper.
