Sampdoria turned down 12M bid for RV holding out 15-20. Bonkers

Trust we have a healthy sell on?

not really when the majority thought he was a better bet than kalvin 2 years ago, myself included. it did make me wonder how he would have developed under MB and also if marcelo gave kalvin the nod when he was told one would have to go, as some stories have suggested.

i suppose the one thing that seems to have become apparent is that bielsa would probably not have played both, as he prefers one outright defensive midfielder.

I think we all realised we had no clue about football when RV disappeared and KP 'appeared from heaven'. Well, anyone with some humility and taste, so probably everybody except Yebore.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

I was thinking positive so it was Ian Snodin and the blond bombshell Kevin Sharp.

Not knocking him or the club but no one who signed for 11m 2 years ago had a loan spell in the championship on his intended career path. So this is a recovery mission for him.

Having said that it's great to have a body in and he's young and hopefully enthusiastic. Not sure what the fuck the club have been doing if JKA was anywhere near the top of the original list, waiting till this late in the window. Seems a tad shambolic.

Wrong thread alert!
Yep NES ovs thought he wasn't quite good enough.
We saw both sides of Costa tonight, first half he was weak, constantly out muscled and made the wrong decisions. 2nd half he seemed to believe in himself and ripped their left back a new one. 15m? I've yet to be convinced, I'd be much happier if it was the same deal as Kevin.

Not us but couldn't decide on the appropriate thread (sorry Ponte): Everton have reportedly turned down a £100m bid from Barcelona for Richarlison.

I can't decide which club is the more stupid in this deal.

It's Everton. Clearly it's them.

Very nearly as crazy as us turning down 27m for KP

i always kinda liked the guy TBH, maybe in part because of his humanism/seeming decent bloke-ishness, & half wondered whether he'd deserved a chance under bielsa, but after such bad luck with injuries & the first team playing so well [relative to where we were when max signed him back in 2016] a move like this probably makes sense for all concerned.

Our share won't be much, then... until the season's end anyway.

We let him go ages ago, share will he nowt.
Although, we should have got involved in the loan, gambled on bringing him back, as he would have added some class and effectiveness to our back four.
The costs involved don't seem that high given Costa and JKA et al, for example.

Not sure we'd get anything for a loan would we? A sell on fee can only relate to, y'know, a sale.

That's what I'm saying. There was talk of a sale. Now it's just a fucking loan. So we get nowt until they decided to take him on at the end of the season. [By 'much' I meant 'fuck all'.]

I see. I assumed you meant 'about £200k', Vs the £2m we might have been expecting.
