Nah. Got a good feeling about this kid.

I feel absolutely confident that Andy Carroll, in Newcastle, will definitely not experience any alcohol-related issues which might affect his playing ability.

Not done yet but a quick Google suggests he's in Greece trying to finalise a loan move.

Yeah I looked but that was 5 days ago.

Surely it can't take that long.

They’re the new Norwich...Halme, Mowatt, Wilkes and now Oduor.

Oduor leaving surprises me as Bielsa seemed to rate him: used him a fair bit in preseason and against QPR (I think?) in the cup last season. I must admit I've never been hugely impressed from what I've seen, though, especially in the central role he seemed to have been playing in lately.

The main upside of this is that I won't have to correct my spelling of 'Odour' several hundred times.

When I watched the U23’s last year, Clarke, Shack and possibly Stevens stood out (notwithstanding Bogusz, who you knew immediately, had it) but the rest were ordinary to ordinary plus, Oduor being one. Tough life for these kids when they realise that they’ll be ordinary tradesman rather than craftsmen, painting skirting boards rather than Chapel ceilings.

Yeah, I’d maybe add Gotts to the list of in-betweens: he’s a very similar player to Shackleton, imo, though not quite as quick.

So many names recently getting banded about expected to come through from the under 23s.

Quite a few have recently moved on, I think we're expecting too much from them, in reality we average about one, maybe two per season that are good enough to play over 10 first team starts.

Hopefully that percentage will climb under Corberan but it's doubtful.

There's a reason we've brought in a young Keeper, Centre back, and Striker here on loans.

Highlight is the opening question, where translator and keeper coach Marcus Abad (unless I'm mistaken) translates Bielsa giving keeper coach Marcus Abad's opinion on the new keeper.

Hmm, certainly an interesting choice for a replacement. Never the most prolific player but technically a full international. Knocking on a bit now but at least he's taller than Roofe. At 48 years old you'd hope he's got a lot of experience.

Having just listened to Moscow mention Brian Gayle on last nights radio appearance, I don't feel quite so bad about this error.

This was Carlos Coberan, who filled in on numerous occasions for Lamrani last season. Honestly, Lamrani had his faults but every time he’s not been there it’s been obvious why he was employed.

I don’t really see how a professional translator, for press conferences only, could be beyond the financial reaches of the club.

Damn, I enjoyed it more when I thought it was Abad. But you're right and it should have been obvious.

Perhaps Bielsa just prefers someone on the staff to speak on his behalf as they are more likely to understand his sentiment and context.
The Chief: "trust me, you can't have too many years with a club like Leeds."
