Simplifies things. We’d only have been disappointed in anyone we signed.

Looks like we used Klarna, so it’s a bit of the January war chest and a bit of next summer’s.FredFlintstone wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 11:34 amI guess that's the January 'war chest' spaffed away then...

Wonderful. I think it's probably the right decision in the spirit of the agreement we made but did half expect us to wiggle out of it on a technicality.

Apparently we’re appealing the appeal. Never admit they’re beaten, that’s what I love about this club.

dismal stuff. surely that (the original deal, not the appeal loss, on which I daresay we're bang to rights)'s the kind of thing that people lose their job for?

I assume the full hit is for roughly double the amount that's been cited since we'll presumably have to pay jka whatever it was that we'd agreed with him over the course of his contract?

Do we now think Mr JKA will be wanting his wages?
I'm not an expert on employment law but he signed a contract for 4 years right?

So if we've paid for him, do we still own him?

Sterling work there lads, absolutely outstanding stuff. On 6 October 2020, Nantes announced the signing of Augustin on a two-year deal, being signed as a free-agent, with both RB Leipzig and Leeds providing written permission, and relinquishing any claim to Augustin's registration

We should sign him from Basel in January.

Also it seems like our defence might have been.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
As I understand it we've gone with explicit dates due to covid delays rather than intent of the original deal. They've ruled based on the implication promotion that season = but him. It's at odds with the need for all clubs to negotiate extensions for players out of contact/their right to refuse to play after June, the reasons we loaned Harrison for a 3rd year instead of buying him then and also why Messi couldn't leave Barcelona for free a year earlier.Chieftain626 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 12:40 pmAlso it seems like our defence might have been.

99% of those situations seemed to be handled sensibly but high fee + injured/shit player turns everyone into cunts.
Frankly, I think this is the right outcome. Our behaviour here stinks just as much as it did with Cameron Stewart.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
Weren't we forced to renegotiate the Harrison deal because it expired before the end of the season due to the covid delay?

Pretty much, though I imagine it suited us more than Man City to kick the option down the road a year. We could probably have agreed to simply extend the activation window until the season actually ended.

Can't remember if it was this thread or another one where I said Gnonto is too small and doesn't look good enough. That aged well.

If a ticket magically appears I will definitely walk the ten minutes from my doorstep. Otherwise might have to send my drone.

Ah, OK.
I'm going on a mate's [Spurs] season ticket. Don't know which stand it's for yet.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
I got a Spurs mate’s brother’s season ticket last season so asked him today if there was one going spare.
Luckily for you all there isn’t so I’ll probably go to the Emirates to watch the England RL World Cup semi instead, thus greatly improving our chances of winning.
