if someone would have posted that leeds rejected a bid of £27m for kalvin 18 months ago, i'd have been pointing to the pig flying past my window. it just makes me wonder what ronaldo viera may have been worth given the same opportunity.

It makes the £3m a year we pay Bielsa, £6m for his whole team look cheap at thrice the price!

Bielsa agreed to stay only if Phillips was not sold.
Besides everyone at the club knows his value can only get even higher after this season.

Just feels like a chronic series of PR screw-ups at the minute: dumb comments about investment with dumb retractions; dumb comments about Eddie; dumb financial exploitation of the centenary; that business of having his own name on the plaque and calling LUFC ‘my’ club.

Step back from the edge Andrew and wind your neck in, there’s a good chap.

Yeah the.... My club on ‘our’ centenary grated quite a bit. Could his inappropriate PR fuck ups be simply a language thing?

Business speak; he paid for it therefore it’s his.
We own fuck all except the pain, heartbreak and joy, having of course paid a lot of money for tickets and merch.

I also wish they'd shut the fuck up about promotion.

The “my club” thing is nit pickery of the highest order IMHO. The price tag on the various centenary tat/activities less so.

Still a big fan of Radz and think he’s a top drawer owner all things said, just misses the target on his cunning plans every now and again

I love it, Eleven Sports logo aside. But £500...

these centenary moneymaking schemes are all very tawdry but, i mean, at least they're optional, right?

Absolutely love it, not sure about the £500 but fair play to those that have :salute:

I spose, in relation to centenary thing, my spirits have been a little lifted by stuff like the ex-player tributes, that Matt Abbott thing and a couple of home-made YouTube videos. Would have been nice if the club had done something with a genuine spirit of celebration and generosity. Feels like it's mostly been a bit wide of the mark.

Doesn't bother me, if they hadn't taken the opportunity to maximise revenue streams it would have been bad business practice.
