OK Balldrick here it is
‏ @PhilHayYEP
A strong hint from Christiansen that he’s thinking of going three at the back v Blades. Said he ‘might not need specialist full-back’.... (1/2)
to replace Berardi, who is binned by Mr R. Sheff Utd are three at the back under little known Gene, who may not be watermelon. (2/2)

TC says Stuart Dallas is mentally strong & has been well looked after by captain Liam Cooper following his bereavement.
"Dallas is back in the squad.(so he is going to be bfkn busy up down the touchline filling in for the Ghost at LB) Borthwick-Jackson is out with an ankle injury but not a serious one". #lufc
"TC in no doubt that tomorrow is a key game. “If we lose we are seven points behind Sheffield United. At this stage it’s too much.”
TC on long contractsTC on Jansson contract: “We are thinking of the long term future of the club.”: “It shows the club believes in them. It’s up to them to now perform on the pitch.”
TC on dealing with Sheffield United: “I have made up my mind what system I am going to play.”

Run em into the ground and replace gradually barring no injuries on 70-75mins with Herny,Klich,Shaughnessy/Jansson......or depending on score Roofe.

4-3 us,with the above.

If he switches to a back three put a left footer at left wing back.

Why change a formation or team that dominated midfield to win us the game last time out?

Sheff are a typical up and at em honest team with their tails up and a threat upfront.

Win the midfield, expose their back 4 and we probably win the game...........same can be said the other way round.

They play a back 3.

Back 4 as a generic sentence, i am not aware of what system they play.

Expose their backline then however many in number and we probably win the game.

Anyone got a link?
The only thing we knew for sure about Henry Porter was that his name wasn't Henry Porter.

Yeah, as a general principle I agree but Dallas had done ok at LB when used there this season later on in games, not too worried there. I think he'll play Ayling as RWB and Alioski (or Roofe) up top with Lasogga and Saiz at #10. Otherwise it's 3 at the back but still only 1 up top (Saiz is no striker)

Sirely changing our system at home smacks of us being scared of them?

I hope he'll stick with 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 and we'll play to our strengths. With the quality we have we should be steamrollering teams like the Blunts

Right then, here you go - since no one seems to know all that much, here are a few comments yoinked from one of their many (2) forums.

'I still think the formation that (theoretically, anyway) negates ours is 4-3-2-1 with the '2' running in behind the wing backs.'

'Leeds are a litttle bit of a one man team. That Saiz is their talisman and if we do a job on him I don't think there's much threat from the others.

Compare that to us. I guarantee most Leeds fans will look at our starting line up and say 'who?' At least 7/8 times. We have no stand outs that they can 'do a job' on, they need to play our team, which many teams have struggled to figure out this season.

Should be a great game, I don't expect a win, but unlike in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if we did.'

'I’m glad they don’t know what to expect. Hopefully their manager doesn’t either. We seem to be surprising a few teams this year but it’s hard to tell which Leeds team will turn up. Let’s hope it’s the one that turned up to Hillsborough a few weeks ago.'

'The only player of ours they mentioned was our Billy, maybe after Friday they'll be mentioning Coutts,Duff, and Mr.Fleck.
Plus no mention of the Brookster !
Seems all a little laid back from them !'

I learnt nothing from that - you do it next time.

Agreed,Saiz is no striker on his own,but playing off and along side a big burly lasogga is excellent for him breaking into the area, two goals against Bristol City, the first a lay off from Lasogga whilst breaking into the box and the second, very similar if i remember correctly,Phillips is also excellent at getting into space and battling for loose balls when breaking forward, and you can throw Alioski into that mix as well.I don't think Vieira and O Kane would be too far off the pace lurking towards their penalty area when on the attack.Would love to get Hernandez into that above team i've picked for similar reasons, but probably better used off the bench atm.

Not being flexible costs us 3 losses, after making changes we beat a much in form Brizzle away, and thoroughly beat them
Blunts beat Wendies 4-2 away, where we failed miserably, if they win on Friday they go top, which is massive incentive.
Its pleasing to hear TC has done his home work especially as we dont have recognized LB with Barcardi suspended and frankly even if not injured BJ is inexperienced
Don't fear them at all, but respect they have been very dangerous when underestimated.

I think what we learned is that those fellahs really know fuck all about us - Saiz has stood out but we're far from a one-man team. And also that those blokes aren't all that clever if they think the coaching staff at Leeds won't have seen every game Sheff U have played this season and know all about their players and formation[s]. And vice versa, of course.
