Don't get me wrong, it's fantastic of the club no matter the truth of where the final funds came from. Ultimately though, once the target was set and endorsed by the club, they were never going to fail to hit it.

Hopefully the lad will respond well to the treatment.

Ballboys in here never in doubt!
Hopefully the Club continues to make positive steps and great to see the players also getting a mR Reality check, no way can they be around this and not be affected.

FM surely this inspires a win this time!! There wont be a quiet voice, or dry eye in the stadium!
O/S
Leeds United Managing Director Angus Kinnear said: “ We talk about family and togetherness a lot at our club, it’s a culture we have been determined to reinstate across everyone involved with Leeds and raising this money has truly been a team effort.
“Staff, players, corporate partners and our supporters have united together to give Toby the best opportunity with further treatment and I am incredibly proud of everyone concerned.”
Toby Nye will attend Saturday’s game with Millwall, the last time he can come to Elland Road before his great ember begins.

"His great ember begins?" Trying to work out what they meant... Adventure?
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Slow burning (care treatment) to put out the fire (disease)?

Don't know much about Toby's condition but treatment for cancer is going to be literally toxic and extremely heart breaking on the little fella. Having lost family to cancer my thoughts go out to them, most of our players are still relatively young men, with their own young families so I'm sure they will have been moved by this.

BBC: What is neuroblastoma?
It is a rare type of cancer that mostly affects babies and young children
It develops from specialised nerve cells (neuroblasts) left behind from a baby's development in the womb
It affects about 100 children each year in the UK
The cause is unknown
In very rare cases children in the same family can be affected, but generally neuroblastoma does not run in families

Toby became ill at Christmas 2016 and on his fourth birthday in January 2017, his family was told he had a stage four neuroblastoma tumour.
Doctors told him he would need intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy as well as an operation to remove the main tumour on his kidney.
His treatment was unsuccessful and his family wanted to raise money to fund private care including flying abroad for treatment - at a cost of up to £200,000.

Seems likely young Toby will be voted player of the season. Assuming that happens, Pablo can feel hard done by.

it's heartbreaking what that poor lad has been through and is continuing to face. i'm happy and able to chuck a bit more in the hat for him if there's any fundraising currently going on, so if anyone is aware of any support the family need please pass on here.

YEP =supporters are planning to chant Toby's name and applaud his courage on the fifth minute of Saturday's clash with Brentford at Elland Road.
"Now let's show our support to him and is family and show them Toby is in our thoughts. Let's sing Toby's name all around Elland Road and clap for the lad and let's show him we are the best fanbase in the land and that we are all one big family at this amazing football club."

It's not looking good for the little man. They've run out of treatment options. :(

Respect to Toby and his family. :salute:
