There's practically a possible first 11 in there. So much for small squads.

Cooper is back but yes:
Blackman
Dallas Berardi Shaughnessy Douglas
Phillips
Pablo Baker Saiz Brown
Bamford

Would be a viable line up for a league game.

Still, it's kind of nice to see it's no longer weighted to any single position.

Blackman has left, we'll definitely miss Pablo if he can't start, also need Bamford back, sounded like he should be back mid January. I think Cooper will start tomorrow after listening to Bielsa. Pearce did okay for the few mins he played last time so, don't think we'll miss Douglas too much if Pearce can play. Fucking typical that Phillips would pick up a three match ban just as Cooper came back.

Never mind new signings, if we are serious about promotion we need our best players playing regularly - and that includes Pablo, Bamford, Douglas and Phillips who are all out.
Bar Pontus and maybe Roofe, we can live with injuries to other players.
We could be looking at 4+ loses on the bounce, serious loss of form right there, and at a critical time of the season.

Which would make the available first 11:

BPF
Ayling Pontus Cooper Pearce??
Forshaw
Clarke Klich Harrison Alioski
Roofe

Unless we play Shackleton at RB, Ayling as holding MF and then push Forshaw further forward [removing Harrison].

Didn’t he say Roberts would take the Pablo role?

Oh, right. So him instead of Harrison, then.

Well, that ain't bad at all. Strong defence. Plenty of goal threat from such as Roofe, Roberts, Klich, Alioski and Clarke. Plus Pontus and Coops from set pieces.

He'll continue to start Harrison over Clarke.

Depends on what he thinks after Sunday, I suppose. You might be right.

I mean Harrison has been getting a bit better every game recently and bringing Clarke on later has paid dividends I think every time thus far? Not much incentive to change it.

Reckon I’ll watch Friday from behind the sofa.

I struggle to get myself through the turnstiles without adding a sofa
We had a meeting at work today and I was asked what steps I would take in the event of a fire. Apparently "fucking big ones" wasn't the right answer

As it turns out, Step Devi is playing against Millwall on Friday night.

Might be more fun to watch that instead.

Beradi return imminent according to Bielsa. Playing in the U23s on Monday with a view to being available for Rovrum. Sounds like Dallas and Douglas are a week behind

Yes, he has a grade 6 Violin qualification

Also: Bielsa says he will need a little more time
