The transplant doc has written to my heart specialist for permission to put me back on the list, he reckons the odds are 70/30 in my favour. The op on my neck is a while off as only 2 surgeons do it in the north west. I'm having a small op on my back next week to remove a very painful cyst, fucking cabbage me.

How the fuck are you still alive?
 I know it's fucking bizzare, both times I had a heart attack I was on dialysis so right next to a and e dept, NHS are fantastic, we must save it from these Tory bastards.

Hope you're ok Dale, this thread isn't the place for me to reply to the bit in bold so I'll dig out the NHS thread and stick it on there.

Had the op to remove the cyst from my back yesterday, was ok but very painful today, they were very short staffed so theatre staff were acting as porters, fantastic service as usual.

It never rains but it pours, heart specialist not happy with my heart performance 18 months after my op's, going for a scan on Tuesday, looks like they are going to have to intervene. Getting a bit fed up now, I know it's life saving but 3 days on dialysis and most spare days at other appointments is wearing a bit thin now,

Keep your pecker up Dale, it seems everyone is on your side.
At least you're been looked after. I went to see my GP last November to say we needed to do something about my prostate, it’s the size of a small football! Had to ask him to do a PSA test, fucker didn’t offer, fortunately the result was OK. It’s been two months since I asked to see the Urology dept at Jimmy’s but the fuckers won’t even call me back to give me an appointment. I think I’ve been lost in the system which is utterly frustrating but given what you’ve shared with us about your travails I think it puts my frustration in perspective.

Yeah I think the great thing is that they are all over it.

I diagnose people every single week who are walking around with things like Atrial Fibrilation or Peripheral Arterial Disease, and are blissfully unaware.

Having any serious medical is a pisser, but given the choice it's so much better when it's known, and being monitored/treated.

Go Dale!

Yeah, that's the thing, the monitoring , being on dialysis we are watched/ tested regularly and it does catch stuff, just not looking forward to the intervention, still best to know what we are dealing with.
