I could leave this thread alone I suppose and let you moan amongst yourselves, but it is making me laugh. Plus I have to defend women kind. Actually, a lot of women are stupid, and most can't drive (present company excluded).

I was looking forward to getting a female perspective on this thread.

It's nice that you're abroad and your wife can take the dogs for a walk on the beach to get away from you. If you were in England you'd be dead by now.

I would agree, except one of our two cats can empty a room with a silent guff. Very impressive, tbh.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

I suspect we weren't granted permission to moan amongst ourselves. That's the thing.

It's always baffled me that my Mrs can't see the difference between HD and standard TV. We have a 37-inch Panasonic of good quality and it makes a big difference to the picture to watch anything in HD. It's not even a marginal or debatable thing: it's just loads better. However, Mrs Dirty swears she can't see it and always manages to harrumph when I bother to pick up the remote and switch to HD.

She even sent me a thread from Mumsnet - email subject box: 'Hahaha' - where they "discussed" the matter, leading me to the conclusion that it's possibly another topic to be filed along with map reading and following directions when it comes to the sexes. Perhaps BNL has a view on HD?

You may have a point I will just have to check with the wife to see if I am allowed to stay on this thread
We had a meeting at work today and I was asked what steps I would take in the event of a fire. Apparently "fucking big ones" wasn't the right answer

I can confirm the same conversation at home.

The HD thing is one of the few successes I've had with my mrs. I've got her to the stage that she automatically goes to the HD channels when watching her programmes.

Whether she does it because she can appreciate the difference or if it's just to get me to shut the fuck up whinging is another matter...

I've not only succeeded with HD but also with the virtues of surround sound. Unless I happen to watch Arsenal in the champions league, when the high pitched screaming woman in the crowd seems to exclusively be broadcast through the speaker closest to the missus head.

As for the other stuff, I have no complaints on the whole, she looks after me in terms of washing/cleaning, we tend to share the cooking. I got her driving lessons to get me out of the main food shop and she's good with money too.

BNL as you may know my wife has left me almost two weeks ago and she will not even answer my phone calls, maybe you could help me in getting her back, I have her five children still living with me but that's OK because I look at them as my own, the eldest boy took a photo of the new matching kettle and toaster I bought from Morrisons to try and get her back but she never even looked at the photo and just laughed.

I want her back at any price, I have not been able to perform in bed for over eight years so I know she has not left me for any sexual needs or she would have gone eight years ago, if she does not want to share my bed I am willing to sleep in the shed, at least she will be in our marital home to give us a chance to work things out.

What can I say to get her back BNL - I cry myself to sleep every night.

Thank you for any advice.

You sure you're not a scouser Welshwhite? Stop the whining and your worrying will y. It's well into shearing season so she'll be down from the valleys for her trim before you know it.

Take care.

Found out just yesterday via Facebook that a bloke I know, typical average earner AFAIK, young kids, smallish house, owns £45k's worth of track-spec Lotus Exige V6 (he was at a track day at Spa this weekend). I'm off out with him next week; really need to find out / understand how the fuck he gets away with it. :salute:

When you do, please divulge.

So I'm out with this fella and his wife last night. They have four kids under 11  I asked about the car and she says, 'Well you only get one life, you have to do the things you want'. I dunno; they're mid to late forties and seem very loved up. Am I just being very cynical when I think he must be paying a heavy price somewhere along the line?

I'll have to keep an eye on this, I reckon.

Cynicism? It's jealousy, isn't it?

I refuse to accept that particular reality exists. It'd do me no good if I did.
