Ordering a takeaway tonight, can't remember the last time I got a delivery so must be many years ago. The reason? went to Sainsbury's late this afternoon and couldn't even park up never mind get in and buy summat, it was like Christmas eve but busier, apparently the world is about to end or summat

Sainsbury's Dulwich looked ravaged on some aisles. Plenty of booze though.

Decided I'm going to start learning to make sourdough.

I am aware there are as many opinions on this as there are arseholes in Christendom, but go off. Recipes?
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Thanks Dirty, but apparently I have to join the 'gram if I want to read along, and fuck that, frankly.

I have a solid mentor whose bread always wows me, but I'm keeping consulting him in reserve until I've learned a little in the lab.

Ate meat tonight for the first time since late December I think, house vote was for a burger order from a local pub and I thought fuck it, why not.

Was alright, but I didn’t really feel I’ve missed owt.

I had roast chicken last Sunday, my first land meat of 2020. Totally underwhelmed, and in fact I think it upset my stomach a bit :burnley: . Full-time pescetarian for me going forward (fish Fridays). :fish:

I’ve been eating more meat lately. 5 of us in the house and limited shopping etc so we are trying to practice better food economy and all eat the same. I’ll get back on it when this is over.

Yeah, in fairness I also do fish once every couple of weeks, probably eat more prawns than anything else.

Still mainly veg here, though as mentioned above, I'm occasionally eating meat to be economic with supplies. As always, we had lamb for Easter and it was bloody lovely. We had sausage and mash midweek too because there were some decent bangers in the freezer.

My local butcher needs my support.

Our man is doing a sterling job, currently delivering to all the local pensioners free regardless of the size of order :thumbl: .
His burgers and sausages taste fantastic and pretty much zero fat in them, they're really top quality.
He was saying he nearly jacked it in last year when he did the numbers on his recompense. He works long hours and it turns out he was earning only £2.70 an hour. :thumbd:
Its a bbq for tea tonight for us.
increasing doubt, decreasing hope, even my imaginary friend went and changed his mind.

Only thing stopping me having BBQ almost every night is limited fuel stocks, and my wife complaining she's not a caveman.

Wonder how much cancer will spike in a few years, with all this extra grilling?

i've been a bit sneery about ipa this last couple of years because i don't have a flat hat, or talk too loud in pubs, but was given some last week free and it really tasted of pub, even more than the tetley smoothflow which was my original desperate attempt to get the taste of pub.

just going to order a flat hat, practice talking loud and paying too much for my beer now.
increasing doubt, decreasing hope, even my imaginary friend went and changed his mind.
