One of the lads at work is a Harrogate Town long-time s/t, home & away supporter. Spoke to him yesterday about being top of the league and how happy he was about it. He said now that they've been promoted, the away fans are treat like shit wherever they go. Said it's a total departure from the welcoming atmosphere of away games in the Northern Conference (or whatever they call it now!) where they could mingle in the supporters bars and have decent banter, now they're shoved into cramped areas with shite facilities.
Other than that, he's buzzing!

I don't believe in omens or anything like that. Nope. Definitely not.

they really are terrible, given that they're the only club in a city of 200k people. the location of Thorp Arch must be a bit of a bugbear for them, i daresay things might be a little rosier if they'd been able to sign Clarke, Cook, Byram, & Taylor as soon as they'd left school, and got some good performances, & presumably eventually transfer fees, for all of them.

it's changed massively in the last 5 years down there. there's a posh john lewis with eateries (restaurants) and the stadium features leisure facilities and a cinema complex. they've even removed the diseased swimming pool. you southerners will feel quite at home.
