No, just googling. Sounds good so far.

Vivian Sessoms album, Life II, is excellent.

Mirrors and copulation are abominable, since they both multiply the numbers of men.

30 minutes of Ellie Ingram was way too short on the other hand 30 minutes of Sundara Karma is way way too long, what a derivative load of wank!

I’m sure DL will appreciate a hint of the Motown sound in this year’s UK Eurovision entry.

He’s 150-1 if you fancy a punt.

Rhys is quite excited - thinks he could be the next Phil Collins.

Fuck me.
What part of that reminds you of Motown?
Any particular artists you have in mind?
The Temptations? Stevie Wonder? Smokey Robinson?
Mebbe the bass reminds you of Wilton or Jameson ...

You've surpassed yerself there.

Whoooooosh!

I think DL got it. You just need to stop playing the man instead of the ball.

Seriously, what makes you think of Motown when you hear that?
Maybe you're hearing something I'm not getting.

Nothing. It was banter with DL as a Motown fan. I think he got the joke (hence his “ha ha”). You didn’t because you were once again playing the man and not the ball. Come on mate, it’s getting silly now.

Our song is starting to grow on me the more I hear it, all the other countries have never voted fair against us for decades (played the man and not the ball).

With us bringing out a song with a big hint of a motown feel could swing things for us this time :salute:

Fingers crossed :thumbl:

I'm really looking forward to the Aussie entry, hopefully something Motownesque like Abba or Men At Work. Cloth-eared cunt is the term I believe, Musta can advise.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

I’m sure the Motown influence will score with the discerning Eurovision judges, Rhys, but do you not think it might be too subtle for the “cloth eared” televoters?

My mate Marvin certainly thinks so. I was out fishing with him yesterday. We were sitting there on the dock of the bay listening to it. I had to leave after we watched the ships roll in, but he was still there when I got back hours later watching them roll away again. I guess he doesn’t have much to live for and was just wasting time - but I enjoy fishing with him.

I think that's the same folk who did the Queen one before? I managed not to hear that even once and hopefully this will be the same. Not really a fan of either of the original artists and for some reason football related song parody (perhaps tribute?) is one of my least favourite forms of expression. Impromptu terrace songs and original songs about football related ephemera - both can be incredible or bad but this sort of thing always makes me uneasy. Now I think about it I don't like music parody at large so maybe it's not unique to football.
