A bit of Phil Collins too?

I don't mind a bit of Phil, B. The last track is always the best bit, usually as the needle lifts off the album.

I can't believe you like his shite :puker:

You’ve obviously listened to more of him than I have if you made it to the final track, Rhys. Still, I suppose when you’re brought up on Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey....

No, but you need to move on. Find something what's new, pusseycat.

Radio 6.
It's great in its own way, but ....
There's other types of music other than landfill indie rock.
There's other instruments than guitars and drums.
Mirrors and copulation are abominable, since they both multiply the numbers of men.

i'm not a massive listener, normally a bit whilst making the tea, but have you listened to john peel's lad, tom ravenscroft? he's occasionally on instead of steve lamacq in the teatime slot and he's a breath of fresh air, plays a right range of styles but you almost always think 'yeah that's half decent'. and he's not a ninny.
increasing doubt, decreasing hope, even my imaginary friend went and changed his mind.

Michael Kiwanuka’s show is good, as is Gilles Peterson. Lauren Laverne isn’t all landfill indie either.

At the place I regularly volunteer the kids always seem to be playing NTS Radio and I'm always blown away by how good a lot of what they play is and how little of it I've heard. Maybe I've just been lucky hundreds of times but I can't recall ever wanting it turned off. It's a bit like hanging out with a pal who is much more in touch with what's going on in contemporary music and genuinely does listen to all kinds of music.

Craig Charles, bro. :dj:
Funk and soul. Old skool and nu skool. It’s brilliant, practically the only radio I listen to.

Mark fucking Radcliffe :thumbd:
The only thing we knew for sure about Henry Porter was that his name wasn't Henry Porter.

Yep, him and that arsehole Maconie are the most irritating smug twats on the airwaves anywhere. Mind I've also grown to seriously despise Jarvis fucking Cocker, entirely as a result of his R6 show.

Quincy continues to spill - The Beatles were the worst musicians in the world.

Quincy Jones wrote:Ringo had taken three hours for a four-bar thing he was trying to fix on a song. He couldn’t get it. We said, ‘Mate, why don’t you get some lager and lime, some shepherd’s pie, and take an hour-and-a-half and relax a little bit.’”

In the interim, Jones called jazz drummer Ronnie Verrell into the studio. “Ronnie came in for 15 minutes and tore it up. Ringo comes back and says, ‘George, can you play it back for me one more time?’ So George did, and Ringo says, “That didn’t sound so bad.” And I said, ‘Yeah, motherfucker because it ain’t you.’ Great guy, though.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.
