Having used 2 mill on one court case, what should we do if the case against West Yorks police fails and the club again pays out? We don't know the strength of his case, but West Yorkshire lawyers clearly think they will win and their lawyers must be pretty well good - or at least well paid.

Surely, surely, the tipping point is coming soon?

When I went of one of those speed awareness courses, we were shown a computer generated image of the notorious pile up on the M4. The image that sticks in my mind is of a tanker approaching the pile up. The instructor said the driver knew he could not brake in time so his only choice was where to hit the target. I saw him with his foot right down, face taut, knuckles turning white on the wheel and thinking, 'Fuck fuck fuck,' and that is how I'm beginning to feel about LUFC.
