Been pissing down all afternoon in SE1. Global warming has clearly only hit Catford.

Pissed down in Crystal Palace too. The sight of mini step Devi arriving home after walking back from school proper cracked me up.
I like it. What is it?

Watched Martin Lewis thing on Monday and it prompted me to check if I could save cash by getting a water meter fitted. It got fitted today and the silly fucker who fitted it fitted it to the cold water feed to the kitchen sink instead of the main inlet pipe.

So yes, I'm going to save money

Week off work coming up, just because I haven’t taken enough leave this year.

I shall be dividing my time largely between sleeping and watching obscure films in my underwear.

Why have you not been given a list of tasks to complete?

I’m expecting them to be handed to me each morning; micro-management and all that. I aim to disappoint; hopefully a couple of days of failure will slow things down.

You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

We bought one of those online-only mattresses you see advertised everywhere: money back if you don’t like it after 70 years type of thing.

I wouldn’t quite go as far as life-changing, but undoubtedly worth it. Only problem is persuading y’self to haul your arse out of it of a morning.

This bloke is a legend, not sure how he affords it but every year he provides everything needed for a family Christmas dinner to hundreds of families.

Emma. It’s weirdly not firm / firm: at first you think it’s too soft but it does support you. I think the Eve one might be firmer though.

Why you now have to sleep on a 1980s public school girl, I couldn’t say.

We did the same last year, went with the Simba one. All in we're pretty happy with it but it gets a bit warm in summer. I think I'd go with the Otty if I was buying again, for it's cooling gel layer.

The biggest problem is feeling every bastard spring when we stay over anywhere else, can't sleep on a hotel bed now.

We chose the Emma because of the cooling thing. I say 'we'; Mrs O would sleep in minus ten if she had the choice.

Dennis has cancelled my flight home. Should be GOM, instead with help of those I'm with and those similarly detained, trying to make the most of it and it's good craic. And I skip some awkward shit tomorrow with a cast iron get out of jail free card.

Jeez, it’s like reading drivel on a needy person’s Facebook page! Desperately trying to portray a glamorous lifestyle with ‘hilarious’ anecdotes and selfies. “Hey everyone, guess what? I’m in Madrid! Look at ME, ME, ME, ME, ME!!!!!”

I think it's safe to say he wants to give the impression he's in Spain.

Or at the very least wants someone to think he is.

Must dash.
