It's happening this fucker, we should've listened to the man

Looking possible, but still a couple of massive hurdles - Leicester v Sunderland soon then Chelsea v Sunderland on the final day. Both need to win next weekend really then I guess Sunderland need to beat Leicester (who've got QPR at home on the final day). Hull probably need to win their next one too given their last games are Spurs (a) and Scum (h).

So Bar Codes or Dull are standing on the trap door.
Sam back at St James's Park and Bruce is up against Scum.
Ha, finely poised. Spins a coin a and says it'll be the Bar Codes - now where's my 50-1 betting slip. Oh!

Hull fucked it by losing to Burnley IMO. Scum will be looking for a win rather than being on the beach already. Both will lose and Hull will drop.

The dream would be Newcastle draw with West Ham and Hull get a last minute winner to stay up thanks to a Scum OG.

But I think Phil has nailed it.

We are currently 10/1 for promotion and 4/1 4th favourites for relegation (Skybet).

Stick a tenner on both - either way you're onto a winner with this bipolar team [emoji39]

that hurts. I really doubt we'll go down this year.

promotion bets aren't worth even commenting on.

Brighton are the same for promotion but 13/2 for relegation. Just shows that the bookies have as much idea as us about our potential. Saying that, I agree it would be a major surprise to me to see us go down...unless Max goes all Cellino on us and destabilizes us early on.

Dr Max & Mr Cellino, eh? One can only wonder what the transformative 'potion' might be.

I managed to get the wife banned from Paddy Power promotions. I'll take that as a small win vs the bookies!

We are greater odds than MK Dons for promotion on Billy Hills

25/1 ffs, the days when we were usually favourites for promotion, are long gone. Still, it gives you a decent 6.25/1 for an EW bet. I think it'll be a tenner each way this year......... ever the optimist.

Edit: BTW, we're 4/1 for a top 6 finish, that got £20 from me.

Just got back from bonnie Scotland and noticed that you can get 26/1 at corals on Chris wood as top championship scorer !! Just had a fiver each way, seems like a reasonable investment to me !
For every step, the footprint was already there.

Derby, Wendies, Coventry, Gillingham £10 @16/1 (SL accy)

Thought about opening a Coral account for a free LU shirt for my daughter shit offer, but you have to put 3 £10 win singles on which is shite.

Just mulling this, but if you can find three probable bankers across the divisions, you're pretty much guaranteed to get your money back or better, innit?

I may be missing something. There's a reason I don't gamble much

A lot of bookies these days are doing bet "£20 pre-game, get a free tenner in play" type offers. Paddy Power did it last month, William Hill are doing it this month, Ladbrokes, Skybet and the rest do it occasionally. If you're clever with it you can risk almost nothing and get a load of free bets to play with. I'm just highlighting it now because Monday's Arsenal vs Man City game is a great example. William Hill are doing bet 20 get 10 and bet 365 are doing bet £50 get £50 risk free in play. What this means is that pre-game you put bets on the following (odds current, check before betting etc.). I use decimal odds so apologies if you don't.

Bet 365 £50 Arsenal @ 2.45 returns £122.50
William Hill £39.52 Man City @ 3.1 returns £122.51
Bet Victor £34.03 @ 3.6 returns £122.51

In other words, you lose £1.04 on your main bets but in return you get a free £50 with bet365 and a free tenner with William Hill. There are ways you could guarantee yourself a profit to cover all outcomes (though this might eventually get you banned by the bookies) or you could just enjoy betting with £60 for a risk of £1.04.
