Palace v Brighton got a bit tasty at times. Dunk sent off for a two-footed lunge at Cahill. Deserved point in the end for Brighton, though. Palace had one shot on target all game - the pen they scored from. Brighton had 16. Solly March a frustrating game - kept doing skilful stuff and then playing in shit balls. Ben White played in the Kalvin position.
Good draw for us.

First league match I can watch after a long weekend of work and it’s a God awful foul-marred slogfest between Leicester and Villa through one half. Barf.

For this reason, the supporter is the best thing in football." - Marcelo Bielsa

Fuck. Villa cuntz won. We should’ve signed Berkley. Wonder why he chose Villa over us.
Fat wages or fat unsuited to Bielsa’s demands ?

Barkley? Choose Villa over us? What make you think we were in for him? Definitely looks like a good signing for Villa, but I not heard anyone suggest we were interested. You might as well ask why Zlatan choose Milan over us.

I read somewhere we were in for him, seemed a reasonable suggestion seeing as we needed someone for that position and it was a loan deal rather than a splash the cash. Guess it must’ve been just more clickbait

First I've heard of it. He's on loan, isn't he?
Anyway, Villa deserved it, just about. They took the game to Leicester second half and pinned them back. Leicester looked toothless without Vardy.
Was hoping it would end nil-nil, but there ya go.

There was a story we were in for him, but it didn't seem to be much more than we had made an enquiry. I know Villa are picking up 100% of his £75k pw wages.

The interesting one is Reuben Loftus Cheek who is on £150k pw and at least initially Chelsea wanted any loaning club to pick up all that. I haven't heard what Fulham are paying for him, but I can't believe it is all of it. :shake1:

More on this thread, to save folks following that link :)

European Premier League - key points
Liverpool, Man Utd in talks about joining new FIFA-backed tournament; Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham reportedly also approached
As many as five English clubs could sign up
More than a dozen teams from England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain said to be in negotiations
Format would comprise up to 18 teams, with home and away fixtures played during regular European season
Top-placed teams would play in knockout tournament
Provisional start date as early as 2022
Wall Street bank JP Morgan in talks to provide £4.6bn in funding
Tournament could usurp Champions League

One wonders what UEFA will think of FIFA jumping in on their game, surely FIFA cannot support a project if it does not have support of UEFA? And what other national league teams would think of being turned into a farmer league the FIFA European/world League. You have to assume Qatar will have it's own team involved at some point. This sort of thing was always going to happen eventually, but if it's a closed shop with no promotion or potential for other teams to qualify the members should definitely be fucked off to play on their own
