✍️NEW SIGNING: Aldershot Town are delighted to announce that Ross McCormack has agreed to commit to the club for the 2020/21 Season!

slightly curious move, given that he's presumably never spent any time in that part of the country. at 34 though a good technical player like him should have a lot to offer at that level, and really to be honest one or both of the levels above.

Bet he gets beaten up by a squaddie within a month.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Wonder if Corberan is starting to regret accepting the Huddersfield job yet ...?

he started badly with our u23's if you look at the results. as such it would make me laugh if they decided to press the button and show them up as tinpot with the proclamations of 'wanting better football'.

good luck to carlos.

Bloody hell, what a bad year for losing ex players.

Seem to remember him as being a competent tryer in the shadow of former players as the club was starting to slip.

RIP

Sad. I remember thinking as a kid that as the Revie players left he would take over. He never really did. My main memory of him was that we had a lot of players whose surnames started with 'H' in those Er that’s it really

Oh and he went on to be Carlisle Uniteds physio

Young Benjamin turned inside out by Rashford about 30 seconds after a trademark run through the middle 3rd.

Our new best friend Fabrizio Romano says Ronaldo viera is moving to Hellas Verona - which doesn't sound like an advance on Sampdoria

Not sure about that - Verona finished in 9th place last season, as compared with Sampdoria in 15th.

Think Samp are the bigger club, Verona are probably the better team. Sampdoria are probably Villa or Newcastle, undeniably biggish clubs but not that good for a while now

I'd forgotten that Marco Silvestri was playing for Verona. Seems a lifetime since he was with us. Verona must have a good defence in front of him as they've kept clean sheets in their first two league games this season against Roma and Udinese (inc De Paul).

Silvestri was never that bad really, a bit soft, needed to learn how to protect himself and could have done better on crosses but he was always better than BPF for example. His biggest problem was having Bellusci in front of him.

haha. there's a nice passage about memory in 'game of thrones' [the book]

...Ned had known their faces as well as he knew his own once, but the years leech at a man’s memories, even those he has vowed never to forget. In the dream they were only shadows, grey wraiths on horses made of mist...

Silvestri for me is definitely entering shadowy territory, just another anonymous member of our legion of lower division placeholders... as you say, he was particularly suspect on crosses, no, but had a decent save or two in him?
