Could you imagine him in charge of Blackwell's full squad though, the 06 playoff bottling vintage? Blake aside I couldn't imagine any of them playing actual football. Derry and maybe Hulse doing a similar thing to Bamford? Butler and Gregan playing it out from the back with Sully sweeping though  .

And yet so far, that team has achieved more than the current one.

 In your black and white promotion or failure view, how does losing in the playoff final out score a semi final defeat?

Didn't the majority of that team follow up play off final with relegation?

I watched a few games, he was very good, clinical.

He'd have scored a hatful in this Leeds team.

I think at that particular time , he was better than Chris Wood ....... Wood had a thing then a bit like Bamford now - a bit wasteful whereas Mirco could do a lot of things well . Wood moved on and upwards of course given time , I wonder how many he would score now at Leeds given the chances the side create , he was far more clinical in the end than Bamford is right now , though he did do his howlers . I'd have liked to have seen them tick with Antenucci more ..but Billy Sharp could have done a bloody good job in this side , he was wrong place wrong time . I think maybe I was one of the few to rate Antenucci maybe .

Going further in a competition is a greater accomplishment, but yes I agree ultimately they both failed. Apologies I should have been clearer.

Robbie McDaid scored this past a midfielder who played the full match in goal yesterday, clean sheet until this:

Robbie is going quite well at the minute. Glentoran have been bought over by a wealthy Iranian fella, and the club are more or less full-time now.
The link has came about is that the new manager Mick Mcdermott (Belfast local), was Carlos Queiroz's assistant when was in charge of the Iranian national team. Not that any of you could could give flying fu#k!

One Emmanuel Yeboah, Ghanaian, has pitched up at Lewes FC, about 19 years old. I realise it’s a bit of a long shot but I can’t seem to find any details of Yeboah’s kids online. Maybe ‘Yeboah’ is the Ghanaian equivalent of Smith, but I have to find out.

If the anecdotes are any guide it would be your life's work to try.

Good business for Arsenal if true, we pay them for a full season and now they pick up another massive loan fee for a kid who's nowhere near their first team

There are definitely a few Yeboahs about. Western Sydney Wanderers had one playing for them, didn’t they?

Makes a degree of sense, already trained in the style Arteta wants to play.

based on the game they played against us, i just doubt he'll get minutes, even if say both lacazatte & auba were to be crocked at the same time?

I've not really been paying attention but isn't it likely 1 of them will leave this month? Suspension coming up too? He's not going to get any more minutes than he was getting here but suppose he might make the bench fairly often.

I know the 2nd half was a different story but for 45 we dominated them and were in the game throughout, it's not as if failing to get in our team automatically means he can't contribute something for them, maybe with a similar impact he had for us against Barnsley, Brentford and Preston (that winner against Brentford may yet prove crucial).

Edit: Aubameyang suspended for the 3 games they have left this month, if he doesn't get a chance then he won't get one. Long shot but technically there is the option of giving him a go from the bench in those games/the full FA cup 4th round and then if he doesn't impress send him back to us for the rest of the season - if we're not able to do something else by deadline day we might be interested in that too.

We lobbed them Nketiah back so they’re selling us Lacazette?

Yeah, ok, I’ll take that.
