Ahem, nine bob note, your honour.
The fact that we are not taking care of the planet, our children will pay the consequences. With football it will be the same because we're destroying football and in the future we'll see the negative effects. Those who have power are responsible for it.

I stand corrected, good sir. Four pound note or nine bob note probably acceptable.

I suspect that trying to find a straight manager would be tough.

Would also love the real story of Eric's transfer to Scum to come out and how much was actually paid to whom

We don't have to look far: Bielsa.

Don't be daft. Why would Yeboah look further than DC'sFFL? Guaranteed to score a sloppy one at the back.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Max has his say on that Monk.

Now former Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino claims he banned Featherstone from the club because he felt he was trying to become too involved.

Monk and Featherstone deny any wrongdoing and Featherstone declined to comment in response to the controversial Cellino, who during his tenure at Elland Road was banned twice by the Football League.

But speaking on Friday about Featherstone and Monk, who was manager at Leeds from June 2016 to May 2017, Cellino said: ‘After two or three months I kicked him out of the club because I didn’t like the way he worked.

‘I never allowed Featherstone near the club. I told Monk that he was a coach, and the players belonged to the club.

‘I never let Monk get involved with transfers because every player he wanted to sign he wanted to do through Featherstone. Monk came to me with a player from Brentford he wanted to sign.

'I asked him who the agent was. He said, “It doesn’t matter, I will make the transfer”. Then I found out the agent was Featherstone and they did the deal directly with him. Featherstone said he was his player, but I found out he wasn’t.

‘Featherstone asked me for commission fees for doing Monk’s contract, and I didn’t give him anything. We had a big fight because I refused to pay his fees. I said to him, “You work for Garry Monk? Ask him to pay the fees”.

'He was always trying to get Featherstone involved in deals. Remember Mo Barrow from Swansea? I didn’t want to sign him because the number 17 brings me bad luck, but Garry wanted to bring him in. We had a fight about Barrow, but Featherstone did the transfer.
Cellino revealed he did not want Mo Barrow at Leeds, but Featherstone did the deal anyway

‘After three months he brought another assistant coach, James Beattie. Then I found out that he was a client of Featherstone’s agency. After that I cut him out.

'I didn’t allow him to come to the games, I didn’t allow him to come to training. I didn’t want him at the club any more because he kept messing up.’

Featherstone represented Beattie as a player but the former striker, who was also Monk’s assistant at Birmingham, is not listed as a client on the website for Featherstone’s agency.

And while Featherstone would not respond to Cellino’s claims, it is understood he was not paid a fee for the Barrow loan and did not complete any deals linked to Leeds while Monk was manager.

Every year there are a number of transfers that occur which make little sense. Either a club has paid OTT or bought a player they don't really need...

The Monk allegations are pretty shocking if proved.

I always (naturally) assumed, given that he'd worked with them recently, monk was responsible for bringing Pablo & Bartley to Leeds, both were so good that I'd probably at least half forgive him the odd dud that might have been driven by some form of nepotism/financial interest/whatever.

Caleb Ekuban's missed penalty means Ghana get knocked out of the Cup of Nations in a shootout.

That's a shame for him, another player brought here under the quantity over quality ploy.
Oh for the good old days when we all hoped as hard as we could that, He, Grot and Sacko would finally click into gear.

I wish him luck. Shame for Yeboah too.

The year is 2030, and Chelsea are set to send 35 year olds Lewis Baker and Izzy Brown out on loan for the 28th time.

slightly strange move? their RB is much younger & was in the champ team of the yr. either they're planning to sell or else SB is just going as backup? i suppose the price tag that's being bandied around points to the latter?

For £750k. 5 years ago he was the next Maldini and now injury and from have taken him to a different place. Jack Clarke et al beware.

yeah, back up, at least initially, or so what i was reading suggests. if he can stay injury free for a while it might be a different matter. the way norwich played last year suits him, so that could well be £750k very well spent, he was a very good player on his day.
increasing doubt, decreasing hope, even my imaginary friend went and changed his mind.

Looks like Danny Rose has been told to find a new club by Spurts. I seem to remember Phil Hay saying we had a sell-on clause a couple of years ago

Might be a handy little windfall if true, although he's not got long on his contract so that will affect price.

just been doing a bit of research on the Liverpool team for this year's fantasy football.

https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/ ... ing-berth/

"...Andrew Robertson (£7.0m), Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.0m) and Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m) played the first 45 minutes but were joined by Nathaniel Phillips at centre-back and Andy Lonergan in goal..."
