it may well be pie in the sky, but now he knows the grass isn't necessarily greener on the bench, is there any chance we can persuade him back? if we sold him it'd be for below his true value simply because his career has hit a low due to unfortunate domestic circumstances, so it'd be daft to flog him for £3-4m. the bloke's a great talent who could be worth far more to us than that.

Doubt theres any chance of him moving back to Yorkshire, doubt Bielsa or >50% of our fans would want him back either. My hope is that his laust few games have increased the chance of Getafe or some other Spanish club agreeing to pay something close to the 6M transfer fee we agreed for him.

By the way, good to see Mowatt promoted back to the Championship. Seems a pretty integral cog in Barnsley's machine.

have you noticed how much weight he's lost? he's a relative whippet now. thing is, had he looked after himself a few years ago he may not have ever gone to barnsley.

I suspect that’s his level but I’d be delighted to be proved wrong. Very happy to see he’s turned it around. Good player for us for a while in an era with little else to celebrate.

Cellino was at the helm of the good ship Brescia and has led them to the open seas of promotion.

The downside of that is he's unlikely to want to return here one day as he's now in the big boys league - Shame really.

I have no doubt if he'd stayed he'd have taken us up instead of them.

Got motd on now. Peltier-Zaha doesn't strike me as a great match up (for Cardiff).

Bits I’ve read suggest that Darren O’Dea put a good deal of effort into his contribution towards getting Dundee relegated from the Scottish Prem.

According to a report from the Sunday People (19/5; page 51), Ross McCormack will see his pay increase to £70,000-a-week should Aston Villa manage to seal promotion to the Premier League in the play-off final.

Ross's Mr Ten Per Cent deserves an OBE for services to personal wealth creation. Absolute top quality work.
