Sometime back and related to #metoo a bunch of women in architecture collated a list of dodgy old men. Peter Marino is / was an absolute grade A certified danger.

Yeah, his scientific faves are looking pretty cunty right now as well, another industry that needs an Augean broom.

Went to see the Calder exhibition in the Botin Centre in Santander t'other day.
I was pretty scathing about it when it was first built.
I wuz wrong.
Spending some time in and around it changed my mind.
It actually works really well in itself and brings the surrounding area into play in a way that expands the usability of the waterfront.
Nice to be proved wrong.

Excellent idea

But potential issues:
- If it turns out to be a good school, parents will try to get kids from further away in and how will they get there?
- How will teachers travel, given how shite public transport is in Leeds generally?

Load of bollocks. My daughter’s school has no car parking spaces and discourages dropping off. It’s fucking 4x4 carnage twice a day. The majority of kids live within half a mile of the school.

There's an expression on interest thing doing the rounds for a mass transit system for Leeds - feasibility study etc. Good news if it starts going somewhere.

I feel like we get one of these every few years or so. Isn't Leeds the largest city in Europe without some kind of integrated transport system? Something like that, anyway.

Aye, and without a proper airport.

Aye, I know. Really has to happen at some point though.

Make of it what you will

Cynics may note that:

a) The file name of the pdf includes 'version 18'.
b) The final page is p20, but labelled as 20 of 21.

I feel sure they know what they're doing.

Someone commented this somewhere in the replies. Not at home, not in responsible company but fine in pubs apparently.
