OK, no worries. It's just I usually reckon you do know - based on experience. But the touch was so slight on the glove, maybe he just didn't. He looked honest enough. Maybe he's just a good liar? Still, he was given out anyway.

I'd go with the ' touch so slight' or that he had doubts himself whether it had.....what did knicker ticker flicker say on that 3rd umpire review thingymebob what's it called 'hotspot ' or summat...they use it in lbw decisions ?

And you're right.

I was always confident. Excellent result though and impressive bowling figures from Thomson, Leech and Shutt (average age 14). Especially pleased that Shutt recovered from being bullied by the bigger boys in the first innings.

As an aside, one impact of Covid (and 2 separate England squads) is that looking down the various scorecards, I don't recognise 66% of the names in most teams.

Another good knock by Buttler, increasingly hard to drop him.

Seems every time the vultures start circling he pulls a good innings out, maybe he’s one off those players that needs to be under fire.

Happy to see Buttler Fingers with the gloves in the next ashes.

Jimmy’s bloody ridiculous, really. Still causing the damage he does as a pace bowler at his age is just silly.

Excellent response again from Josh, i'm starting to think there's a case of playing both Foakes and Josh who can then just concentrate on his batting.

I think an Anderson replacement is a more pressing concern for us

Unfortunately, as has just happened, Butler doesn't appear able to catch the simple chances, which are likely to occur more frequently in English conditions than the flying catches.
