:salute: it has indeed been emotional chubbs. And it may be about to get even more so.
You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Allen would be a godsend.

Yeah, it's me. Hock has been given the last word today and will probably not be returning for 2015/16. It's been emotional.

The new mag is already out right? Having finally managed to log in my account says no active subscription but £10 disappeared from my account the other week.

I got an email saying you had taken money and then another saying auto payment has been cancelled? Have I paid for the subscription or not?

If not I will pop and see Chubby tomorrow
We had a meeting at work today and I was asked what steps I would take in the event of a fire. Apparently "fucking big ones" wasn't the right answer

Yep, you have a subscription. We're just not going to be using paypal from this point on so recurring payments are all being cancelled.

That said, we haven't actually done it yet. All I've cancelled are all the ones with outstanding payments against them. From memory, I think you had one 2 separate recurring payments, one of which had failed a couple of years ago but was still on the system.

So, my payment went through, does that mean that you will actually send me the mag?

Chubs, I've paid by PayPal in the past. No email of any sort saying you've sent me the download nor that payment has been taken. Am I a bit previous?
The fact that we are not taking care of the planet, our children will pay the consequences. With football it will be the same because we're destroying football and in the future we'll see the negative effects. Those who have power are responsible for it.

Chubs,

I've been told by PayPal that you've cancelled my sub, but not heard anything else? I know I'm 330ish miles away, so is the request for payment being sent by carrier pigeon?

They've just put some quality control on recipients this year.

It still says I have no active subscriptions, I must also fail the subscriber quality control process.

The subscriptions are basically split into two parts: there's the shop software that sells and manages the subs on our server and then there's the payment gateway (PayPal, Stripe etc) that handles the money side of it remotely. We need the two parts to be able to speak to one-another properly. Alas, with PayPal it doesn't happen. Payments were coming through but subscriptions weren't being updated, hence the problem above of people having accounts that show no active subscriptions. Stripe, our new payment gateway, works beautifully with the shop, so we're gradually moving over to that.

There are numerous practical reasons for it too. We couldn't, for example, issue a refund directly from the shop. We'd have to delve into PayPal to find individual transactions etc and do it via that - and it has a clunky interface. Stripe allows us to do it directly from the shop. We can properly manage renewal dates too, and get them all at the start of the season, which PayPal wouldn't allow us to do.

OK then my account has paid the PayPal payment for this year , so how does this affect the delivery of the mag electronic or by mail, as I assume that the first edition has not been released yet.

This has the makings of being the next PPI scandal.
