* although I fully expect to hear about Bamford breaking his leg as he trips up on his way to the lav at some WC final party or other.
That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, at least the club would be forced to buy a forward if that happens. We've been waiting 1.5 seasons for Bamford to sort himself out, we can't afford to wait for a another six months.
Groin surgery:
you can't make this shit up

Time we recalled Roberts from QPR. It's the only logical option.

Groin surgery:
A club source said "Patrick reported to the physio that he had 'a hurty front bottom'".

After last night's Messi wankfest, today it's all about Mbappe's rose-scented farts.

C'mon, Poland! At least try and go for it, ffs

Why wasn't Dembele shown a yellow card for booting the ball away?

yeah, I mean, he's really good, does a couple of very good things or more in nearly every game, it's a shame they can't just say it like they see it instead of looking for genius in, as you, every five metre side foot pass or every little burst of acceleration.

"Just 5 minutes for Poland to hang on" fuck off you patronising twat. Poland have had as many chances as France.

Of course France then go on to score, but still

I can't decide if that Giroud goal was a great finish or if he scuffed it.

I don't think he scuffed it. But also, don't think he meant it to hit the ground so soon!

I've never really minded Giroud but if defo feels wrong that his scored more than Henri

Yeah, overall, France haven't looked great. Which is encouraging for both Senegal and England, should France go through.

Henry's peak was obviously far better, but as a 'pace merchant' his style was less durable than giroud's 'target man' routine. also Henry's France numbers are compromised by having played wide a fair bit early in his career and quite often in a front two with trezeguet when he was at his peak, which tended to push Henry wide again or else deep. also, Henry's peak years probably came when France were dropping off - although he got winner's medals in 98 and 00 he wasn't yet one of the main men, and by the time he was France weren't quite so strong.

Considering who he's up against, Cash has done well ... so far.

Lovely third.

But... erm, we have Kyle Walker.
