Is The Last of Us not bingeable then? Maybe I'll wait til it's all available and then sign up for a sub.

Hadn't heard of the game before the TV series, neither had my kids as its not available on Xbox, so all new to us :thumbl:
Strap in for the ending then

Another one. "Dexter New Blood" is a right load of shite. Might be the worst sequel ever.

Turned out it was just OK - another decent episode of something that has already proved to be decent, if you like that sort of thing.
I really have no fucking idea what she thought was so bloody spectacular about it.
I thought it was brilliant, definitely did not expect that twist when the we were introduced to the characters, had me on they edge of my seat all the way though and the end of the episode was brilliant. So I have to disagree.

While I'm here I should also mention Somebody Somewhere, also absolutely brilliant acting throughout.

Ah, Somebody Somewhere, great shout, thank you!

Weirdly it's a game (well, two games) I was slightly ambivalent about. On the one hand it's a pretty great world to viciously fuck around in, and great storytelling/pacing/thematically: on the other I found it a bit repetitive and just ended up scumming my way through to keep the story rolling. (Great studio in general though, really.)

Once the show is over I strongly recommend watching some YouTube vids of folks who are really good at it - really brutal but stylish melee and explosive kills

We have a family Netflix account, have had it since the kids were all here, but now they’re all over the place we’ve kept it as one less thing they need to pay for.

This new thing about them clamping down on password sharing, it’s not clear whether they mean individual accounts or shared ones too. Apparently you’ll need to reconnect to the ‘base’ wifi once every 30 days.

If it does apply to family accounts I think we’ll just sack it off. We seem to watch fewer and fewer things on it now, so not bothered if it dies on its arse.

Aye, two kids away at uni. I’m not paying for three subscriptions. I’ll keep mine but downgrade it as we don’t need the premium if they can’t watch it.

How do that determine which WiFi is home? If it's by most usage we'd have to visit daughters uni once a month.

Forgive one for being an old fart completely out of touch with modern urban culture, but why are you paying for streaming services like Netflix and Disney?
Everything they produce is available for free, in any form you like on download sites.
So is anything else ever broadcast or put on screen.
Torrent day is the best but others are available.
There is nothing I cannot find.
The only thing I can't find is obviously live sports, but Dazn does that for under 10 bucks

Yes I know it's illegal, but surprisingly I can sleep at night knowing that Netflix will probably survive without my 30 bucks.

It’s a simple life Musta. There’s an app on the telly box. Can’t be arsed fannying around with owt else. Don’t mind paying for it until the point is reached where the value of what’s on offer isn’t worth the price.

Guess it's no different to paying for your food rather than just walking out with it under your coat....

Home taping is killing music, didn't you get the memo?

It's very different, as when you lift the food it's gone from the shelf. When you torrent a movie it's still there untouched.

I have no problem with paying for services I use, I messed around with kodi and torrents for years but can't be bothered any more, at least not to save the cost of a couple of pints (one pint in Sweden) a month. This change will complicate things for me because I use all my subscriptions in our flat in town and at our cabin, and I stream using Nvidia Shield devices, it sounds like I will have to start casting Netflix from my phone, which might lead to me cancelling if it pisses me off two much.

I only use iptv for stuff I can't get in Sweden in any other way, like UK TV, I'd happily pay a reasonable subscription for that if it was available. Do you download music as well?

Netflix are fools.

We all know how to stream for free, we just cant be arsed. Want to charge me more? OK, fine. I'll stop paying you at all, still see everything I want to see, and see how long your business lasts when we all do the same.

Less earache from the missus. It’s easier than kodi or IPTV (I have both)

Some kind of IP witchcraft I assume. Be interesting to see what they do about Teslas though. I use the Netflix app on the car’s os when I’m charging.

Agree. We pay for Netflix: it has so far been cheap enough per month for the use we get - but now that's changing. We also have Amazon Prime because we receive a load of packages anyway, so it's effectively free. The minute that 'value' changes for the worse, they'll get binned. Netflix is taking a big risk here: be interesting to see how it pans out. In our case, daughter doesn't go to uni until October, so we have time to think about it.
If I could pay Leeds United or even Sky/BT a small/reasonable sum to watch all our games, I would never arse about with VPNs and dodgy sites. I won't pay [imo] extortionate Sky and/or BT prices to watch occasional Leeds games.
Re music, it doesn't really apply to me because of my job: I get it all 'free' anyway, the price I pay being writing about it [or not]. If I didn't have that access, I would just buy it, like I used to - and I'd try to find a way that paid the artists/creatives more than fucking Spotify does.
Actually, I do still buy stuff anyway: usually indie, direct from the artist or via bandcamp or some such. They don't all have handy PRs.
