Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
That was my thought. IF we want this lad, we can presumably get him and the young centre half for the same as what we get for Llorente and Harrison.

This is the guy who has done cruciate ligaments twice? No thanks. If he comes in, presumably Harrison is going.

Not sure why some of us are so keen to wave goodbye to Harrison, who in the last couple of games seems back to near his best. I vote to keep him.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
Who's keen for Harrison to go? Just seems the club are open to offers, why? No idea, perhaps he's indicated he won't sign a new deal, or he wants too much money, or just a change, or perhaps its all BS. When a player is linked with so many clubs over such a long time it suggests they're leaving, and both Newcastle or Roma would be preferable to Leicester.Bobbycollins wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 9:34 pmNot sure why some of us are so keen to wave goodbye to Harrison, who in the last couple of games seems back to near his best. Doesn't sound impossible. Fuck knows if it's a good move or not and does suggest there will be Harrison need tomorrow.

You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later.

Orta going for the Scorsese in "Taxi Driver" look, I see. Glasses ruin it a bit.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
Jack Harrison is one of the most underappreciated players in the premier league. Do not sell at all, let alone for a guy with dodgy kneesdirty leeds wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 10:43 pm"Zaniolo, who has played 11 times for Italy, is in his fifth season at Roma. Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
Issue with Harrison is that he is an out an out winger, and it seems we won’t be playing a system that requires that for the foreseeable future. And I don’t just mean that from a Marsch perspective. The whole point of the Director of Football model, as we have, is that you build you squad for a certain style and appoint successive managers that know how to run it.
I like Harrison. However, whilst I think he’s still got room to improve, it’s hard not to acknowledge that he’s wildly inconsistent with his performance levels. If someone has to go then I’d begrudgingly accept that he’s the man to do so.

I'm in the keep-Harrison camp. Even in our system, he's useful.

He was linked with Spurs (loan) and AC Milan (buy) so not sure if agent playing funny buggers. Has burned bridges at Roma so you’d think a deal gets done somewhere

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
McKennnie looks like a decent signing who I guess will be a starter. Who makes way? Said he would be okay to play in a double-six, in a more forward roll, so next to Tyler, but he prefers 8. Has to be Roca, perhaps Harrison who's played more centrally in a few games? With Aaronson out right (I'm assuming lMarsch won't drop Aaronson yet). Advantage of five subs I suppose
Good news Llorente is leaving, gives me more confidence that there's a plan, but our defence looks very low on numbers all of a sudden.

Harrison can change a game. I really rate him so naturally we will bin him off. I hope he stays.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
Maybe in the summer but not now. He's back fit, back scoring and looking more comfortable in his new role. Not for £20m, that's at least £10m too low, and must definitely not to another team in the relegation picture.Guildford White wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 8:36 amHarrison can change a game. Apropos of absolutely nothing, I saw Tiago Monteiro on the podium at the infamous 2005 U.S. Grand Prix.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
No fan of (recent) Llorente, but we concede too many goals, we need to avoid relegation in the next couple of months, we’ve sacked off an experienced but unreliable defender and signed a kid for the U21s?
Sounds like a plan I guess. A fairly fucking shit plan.

Re: Trialists, Transfers & Speculation
But if we are presented with the opportunity to get our money back on Llorente we take it, it may not happen again. I'm happy we won't see him in our back four again, ball juggling, doing Cruyff turns and falling over.eric olthwaite wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 9:10 amNo fan of (recent) Llorente, but we concede too many goals, we need to avoid relegation in the next couple of months, we’ve sacked off an experienced but unreliable defender and signed a kid for the U21s?
